I really like the atmosphere and the food here. We ordered grilled squid, the tripe with white beans also a tiramisu dessert. They are all good and tasty! It seems a family business with friendly service!

Such an amazing place! The food was the best food we ate in Aveiro (maybe in Portugal in general). The soup, the codfish, the squid…yummy! In addition, the service was friendly, ready to explain everything to you and help you with your choices as well as providing useful info about the city of Aveiro! A must go!

It is a family restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere and amazing service. The food is very tasty and fresh! The price is very reasonable for the quality of the food. I highly recommend it. Try the squid and cod fish along with a vinho verde.

Amazing food. 5 star service for very reasonable price. Highly recommended. It is so refreshing to eat at small local places like and still receive very tentative service. I love how their family run and they’re doing it with so much care and humility. I tried to tip in the end because their service and food is so good. But they said they don’t need tips, me enjoying the meal is good enough for them 🥹

Lovely Portuguese family owned and operated restaurant. Small in size but leaves a big impact! A little hidden gem worth visiting!

Beautiful restaurant, amazing family which owns the place and one of the best food you can eat in Portugal! We ordered codfish cake and salmon, two desserts and wine - everything was extremely delicious and fresh 💛 thank you!

Such a great spot! A very local, family run business that brings you so much joy supporting. The husband cooks on the grill while the wife is in the back kitchen and the daughter in law is taking orders in the front. The food was amazing and the family is so lovely. We ordered the grilled pork belly and the Veal stew. We couldn’t fault either dish! Both amazing home cooked meals with fresh produce. Can’t go wrong here!

Outstanding family restaurant offering delicious comfort food. The waitress was delightful and the atmosphere authentic. We had a soup each and shared the feijoada a transmontana, a full portion for the two of us.

I'll tell any friends going to Aveiro to stop there!

We had a lunch of Cream Cod, and a pork and potatoes dish. Half portions were generous, and we had room for Tiramisu. Awesome food, service and atmosphere. We got there right when they opened, by the time we left there was a line to get in. This is a small space, but it is worth the wait for a table. Enjoy!

A hidden place in Aveiro which has an old-classic restaurant atmosphere.
Small place close to the center where you can eat really good dishes from daily market, all of them made care.
Cod, squid, meats… everything grill cooked and very tasted.
Owners are very kindly and helpful, to offer the best experience and meal.
Housemade deserts are fantastic, but „house desert“ plays on next level.
Sorry, just one picture could be taken, and not before eaten :)

Wonderful small restaurant that has a lovely authentic feeling.

The restaurant is slightly out of the way, but worth the small walk. It is small, so not the best for bigger groups but they can accommodate.

The food is fantastic. Really great flavours and really well seasoned. Service is friendly.

Highly recommend

Outstanding , this family runned small cozy restaurant. I’d say all you need is patience. The place has just a few tables. It’s very common to have to queue to get a table. So did we , 15-20 min we waited. Menu itself is completely in Portugese, but they have an extra page providing basic translations for the matching dishes they serve on their “daily menu”. It might differ from time to time. We ordered a small bottle of red wine for two , one vegetable soup, grilled squid served with vegetables and fries and white fish with vegetables and potatoes. As dessert their well known “Portugese” tiramisu and crème brûlée and two coffee. Portions can be ordered per 1 or 2 persons with slightly difference in price but all indicated on their menu.

I really want to say that the waiters here are the most friendly and attentive people we met on our trip in Portugal. At the beginning the woman did remark that her English might not be as good. Well it was perfect! Keep the good work 👍🏻

Small family-owned restaurant in Aveiro. Great seafood dishes that taste so good yet so homemade at the same time. Super friendly and personal service by the owner’s son who gave us great recommendations. Delicious wine at very reasonable prices.

This should be your go-to place when you’re in Aveiro.

Best restaurant we tried in Portugal! We ate there for lunch, dinner, and even ordered more bacalao to go and ate it the next day. The quality is amazing and the service is really good! Both meat and fish are incredible!! I loved bacalao with nata.
