The best restaurant I've tried so far. First, the food is amazingly creative and delicious. Fresh fish, risotto, freshly cooked, that will blow your mind. Since food is freshly made, you should know that it takes a couple minutes more than usual but it's sooo worth the wait! The desserts tasted like heaven. We actually shared everything. Flavors here are just incredible.
Located in the lovely and trendy old fish market, they have outdoor seating for warm evenings that make your time here a lovely experience. Our waiter was Paul and he's the sweetest and gives the best recommendations ever. All the crew just offered the best service possible.
The experience here is unique, enjoy your time here with friends and you'll create incredible memories. I'll come back anytime!

One of the BEST restaurants in Aveiro! Excellent, excellent food and amazing staff. The exceptionally friendly staff even provided blankets when the evening started to turn chilly outside. Totally recommend this restaurant!

If you are looking for a new and modern twist on an already amazing gastronomy, this is the place. Walked in having 0 expectations as I had not researched the restaurant previously, but we were immediately greeted by their amazing staff which explained to us the whole concept of the establishment. Given their recommendations, we decided to start with the fish stew. It was amazing, with a kick of spicy, probably one of the best I have eaten in my life, the flavour was all there! We proceeded to eat the cod and the hamburger, which were as well (although nothing surpassed the stew). Unfortunately, as time for us was limited, we ended up not trying the desserts, but that makes an excellent opportunity for the return! Lastly, we ate lunch outside and it was beautiful, I would definitely recommend that option!

Really amazing food - out of this world. The waiter was so kind and helpful. You must try risotto and also octopus. The plate was a piece of art.

We ate here on August 15th, with some friends. The dishes were delicious and the staff was very nice and kind. Each of us got a starter and a main dish. Even the risotto was very good, and I am Italian!

Perfect food! I have ordered the octopus and my sister the shrimp risotto. Both ware perfect! For desert the Mil Folhas was also amazing - deserts do not amaze me very often. Service super good, we have finished dinner in 1h30 from arriving to ordering the bill.

I think this was one of the best meals I've had. I got there at opening as I didn't have a reservation. The staff were lovely and accommodating (I asked to move inside as I was getting a bit chilly) and was happily helped inside. They paired the wine for my meal (at my request). I had a salad with goji "ice cream" that I was told to mix into the salad (with other fresh fruit), and my entree was the octopus and sesame seed crusted scallops that was served with a stew (I'm not sure what was in the stew, but it was amazing). And for dessert, I had the "brownie" which turned out to be more like small, dense pieces of chocolate. It was all incredibly delicious and would highly recommend. One of the hosts would advise people that it will take about an hour to get your entree as meals are prepared as they are ordered. Don't let this deter you - it is well worth the wait!! Go and enjoy an amazing meal!

We had a very pleasant lunch at O Bairro. We were there when they opened at 12:30PM on a Saturday. We ordered Codfish's Punheta, Shrimp and Lime and Bairrada's Chunk of Meat.  Everything was very delicious and the portions were generous. The service was great. It took a while to get the check since by then, it was a full house inside and outside. No complaints since the weather was amazing. We'll definitely be back.

I had the pork cheeks which were amazing. So meltingly tender. Also, the almonds in the mash were a revelation. They added crunch to an already excellent dish. I might take that trick home with me.

My wife had the steak with mushroom risotto and said it was the best risotto she has ever had. 👌

Definitely a "must" if you look for a tasty and creative menu in Aveiro. We were promised the best risotto that we had so far and exactly that has been delivered. The service was great as well - if we would come back to Aveiro then only for this place.

The place was great. We manage to get a place even without a reservation thanks to the staff kindness.
We had to wait a little bit for the food but they told us that before giving us the table so it was ok.
The waitress was awesome and full of enthusiasm.
And most importantly, the food was simply delicious !!!

Fresh seafood and inventive cooking. The place is extremely popular and became packed almost instantly after they opened for the Tuesday evening that I visited, but luckily the very friendly staff still managed to squeeze me in. I’d definitely return with a reservation the next time I’m in Aveiro.

Best meal that we had in Aviero. Tip: show up at 7:20 before they open for dinner to get your table. Every bite was delicious. Menu and staff were charming and fun. Each menu item classic with a twist. Filet was epic.

Traditional Portuguese food with a nice twist. We had the risotto with Shrimps and the one with mushrooms and Beef. Both were really tasty. As a dessert we had the nata de céu. We can recommend this one as well.

The service was great and very dog friendly. Dogs are not allowed inside but very welcomed on the terrace.

If we would go to Aveiro another time we definitely would go to o Bairro again :)
