Authentic Portuguese restaurant visited by locals and people who know. Tasty seafood dishes, served by friendly hosts. We had a monk fish stew dish that could feed four people

It is a typical portuguese tavern with local food. I was interested in having the grilled sardines as I read the fish is fresh and good.
Was not disappointed at all. The photo I attach is for half a portion of the grilled sardines which comes with salad and veggies. As a woman- I eat a lot and this was plenty for me to be full, but not stuffed to the brim. The plate looks smaller on the photo - it is one of those big plates so do not be fooled by my photo.
I had melon for dessert which was also good- came from the fridge so was refreshing in this heat.
I do recommend it- it is a family run business. The man seems a bit grumpy but do not mind him- I reckon it has not been easy for them in this pandmic.
Definately if you go to Aveiro- pay them a visit.
Prices are also good.

Friendly service and very good homemade food here. Restaurant seems very popular with locals and is completely filled in the afternoon. We had some very tasty and well prepared squid.

Traditional food, good service and amazing desserts! It is not possible to make a reservation. You just go and if there is no table available, they write your name on a list and call you when you can eat. In the meanwhile, you can enjoy a drink outside the restaurant. Fair price!

A local restaurant with good eel fish. Menu only in Portuguese, but the waitress explained everything nicely. Recommend!

Excellent find off the beaten track! Local family restaurant with great fresh seafood! Excellent monkfish and prawn fish with rice dish. And a wonderful local desert of apple and cinnamon!

So so delicious food. Had to get the smaller portion the second time. So much food on your plate, it is unbelievable. The atmosphere and the owners are wonderful. You have to go and try this place. Fabulous
