First of all, they don’t accept card and it is fine, we didn’t know and they indicated us where to withdraw money from the nearest ATM.
It is a really nice place, they are a couple from the aveiro.
It is quite interesting the lettering and the outside menu are what catch my attention. We had calamari, octopus and rice. It was really nice, the first two coming with potatoes. I love when the legs of the calamari are roasted and crispy.
The price is much better than the other places we visited, the area prices are around 18€, here is around 10€.

In conclusion, it is the perfect place to have fresh fish from the area!!

It was such a nice place to have lunch. Delicious fish with an authentic Portuguese taste. The owner was so very friendly and easygoing, we will definitely come back.

Hidden behind the touristic riverfront, a couple serves homecooked food from a small kitchen. The octopus is tender, the eel soup is delicious, and the sabre noir fish is definitely a speciality. The potatoes, boiled, are also something unexpectedly tasty. A lovely, authentic atmosphere.

Fantastic experience. Great food, the two men running it were friendly, funny and fantastic. We had sardines for the first time and couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Hidden gem. Food and prices were amazing!!! Joaquim was great!!! The wine was even made by him. Its a must to try!!!

A hidden small restaurant with a real Portuguese kitchen. Owned by a really nice old couple. The food was freshly cooked and affordable. Definitely, worth a visit when in Aveiro!

We got perfect experience of local restaurant without tourists. It cheap. Grilled fish was good. Meat just ok. Nice home wine. It was a very slow service but even children waited in patience.

The best place to eat in Aveiro. Traditional portuguese home cooked meals in a real tasca ambiance. Aldo traditional portugese prices and not the ridiculous turist prices that you pay in other places in Aveiro. The staf is amazing and kind. Aldo loads of glutenfree options.

Great local food - not a fancy restaurant but that is what you are looking for sometimes

We were walking around and came across this lovely authentic family run restaurant.

The food was very tasty and freshly prepared, all from their local farm. I would highly recommend the fish stew with rice which was excellent. The owners were friendly and kind to us, helping with an English menu as we do not speak much Portuguese.

The highlight at the end of our meal was speaking to their daughter who taught us some Portuguese words and shared her English she had learnt at school. I would highly recommend a visit to this delightful restaurant.

Joaquim, the owner, and his wonderful wife are like your aunty and uncle! They smile, love to chat, serve you with great pleasure and with an unbeatable price. I felt like I was in my families house.
