Casa de Azzancha

This has been the best place to stay on the Caminho, so far. Helena, the owner is an incredibly attentive host. Our stay started with a tour of the facilities and a warm welcome. Helena arranged for us to be picked up at 7 pm by the owner of a restaurant, where we had a €12 pilgrim meal. Bread cheese olives soup salad a feast of grilled meats, one drink and a dessert. Then the owner took us back to Helena's. The room was ideal for our needs and extremely clean. Breakfast in the morning, €5, was anple. I can recommend Casa de Azzancha highly. A wander round the picturesque village is also a must.

My experience with casa de azzancha was really good, i had arrived really late doing the camino and when I arrived the lady that owns the place was already serving dinner to the other guests. She put me to the table and the meal was really good and alot of food (excelent for somebody that walks alot all day long) and she had opened wine (red and white) she offered beer and juice. Shr also did a tea with lemongrass from her yard. I went to the room, the bed wad really cozy and the room was really clean. I had to wash some clothes and the lady helped me, she put the clothes to wash and after to dry. I slept the best since I started the camino and in the morning the breakfast was all prepared when I woke up. It was a really good experience overall. The price was fair to me seeing what is the experience the she is offering. This place has everything a pelgrim needs. Highly recommend!

We stayed there for one night. The room was very clean and nice. The host was so lovely and friendly. We get a traditional soup and interesting and funny conversations. We felt like we are at home.

Really enjoyed the stay. Recommended from Camino guides. A nice room with a carry friendly host. She spotted me while I was lost nearby and gave me a lift to her place. Very welcoming and it was nice to have home cooked food and breakfast with coffee was there in the morning too. Not bad for 20 euro.

Some practical bits. There's an outdoor sink with soap and a line to dry your clothes on property. Towels and food and beers and wine on site too which is nice for a reasonable cost.

Helena is amazing host! She welcomed us with fresh juice and homemade.marmelade and honey. We (2) spent the night in a triple room for 20€ each and we had a very relaxing time and a tasty breakfast in the morning. On top of this, Helena is a very sweet person.

A wonderful place to rest, incredibly clean and comfortable and Helena is a wonderful hostess.

Great stop on the Camino

Luogo dove ogni pellegrino sogna di approdare: il piano terra della casa di Helena è un'oasi dopo una faticosa tappa. Non è immaginabile la serie di confort che vi si trova: in un ambiente famigliare e pulitissimo, si può godere di letti comodi, con lenzuola e asciugamani profumati, stanze grandi, bagni nuovi e bellissimi, una grande sala con cucina attrezzata come se fosse casa e fornita di un frigo zeppo di cibo a disposizione...impagabile.

Ein toller und sehr familiärer Aufenthalt nach einer anstrengenden Etappe aufvdem Camino, Empfang mit Kaffee und Kuchen, sehr schöne Sanitäreinrichtung und sehr saubere Zimmer. Haben sogar Abendessen dort bekommen und mussten uns um nichts mehr kümmern. Sehr ergiebiges Frühstück und sogar die nächste Unterkunft wurde uns von der Betreiberin organisiert. Diese Unterkunft und Gastfreundschaft kann nur weiterempfohlen werden. Am besten direkt kontaktieren, spricht gut englisch
