It's kinda beautiful ❤ full of nature. Lake view is amazing lovely. Boating is outstanding New and advanced sky jets available speed boats there gliding available.
Food is alright no improvement since 2021 rest all good.love to come back 🔙 soon

Khanpur Dam a Beautiful Lake in District Haripur Khayber pakhtunkhwa Pakistan, its located on the Haro river about 50 km from Islamabad . there is a lot of enjoyment like Horse riding, Camel riding, Boating,paragliding and more fun for childrens there are Hotels tuck shops and its family picnic point also ..

Wonderful place to visit. Boat tour is mesmerising. Enjoy fish even if it is not that good but atmosphere makes it special. Pakoras are another item to enjoy with . Parasailing is another physical activity costing around 4000 per person. Mobaali Island also near.

It was a wonderful trip.
It was the first time that I went for parasailing and jet skiing. It was an amazing experience.
I would love to visit this place again in the future.
The best time to visit this place is in summer ( June to November) as there plenty of water activities happening during this time which include scuba diving, cliff jumping and so on.

This place is quite peaceful. Nature helps you feel and breath good. Color of Water is beautiful. I wished to take a tour on boat but didn't get till now.

Leave an hour early, road is under construction in the middle, it will consume an hour extra.

This place is a good spot for outing.
You can have jet ski, free fall, para sailing, para gliding etc and other options also available.
Multiple docks or vendors offer above mentioned services.
Complete fun spot with multiple water based activities.
Very busy place on weekend and public holidays.
Recommended to go with both family and friends.
But I prefer that you should go to nearby resorts like orangelake or mabali or some other. Because that is much better and safe option if you are with your family.
Note:
However, swimming in khanpur dam premises is strictly forbidden and crime. Be careful with that.

Beautiful view, specially on a cloudy windy day. The food being served by vendors isn't very hygienic or healthy but it's there. The boating part is fun, boats are good quality and you won't have to fear for your life when sitting in one.

I recently visited Khanpur Dam and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The scenery surrounding the dam is absolutely breathtaking, with lush green hills and sparkling blue waters. The dam itself is an impressive feat of engineering, and it was interesting to learn about its history and construction.

There are plenty of activities to do at the dam, including boating, kayaking, and fishing. We opted to take a boat ride, and it was a great way to get up close to the dam and take in the stunning views. There are also picnic areas and small cafes where visitors can relax and enjoy a meal or snack.

The staff at Khanpur Dam were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. Overall, my visit to Khanpur Dam was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic day trip.

What a place right where you don't expect anything interesting to be. The green clean of water attracts quite a lot of locals and tourists. There are several names and boards that offer boat rides and parasailing there. The boats seem safe and they ensure riders are wearing life jackets. The parasailing crew are helpful and they assist the person with landing and take off. However, the boat ride and parasailing seemed a bit pricier as they weren't too long routes. Still, people living in cities don't get to parasail that often. A must visit place and a must to parasail.

Our adventure began as we embarked on a thrilling journey from Peshawar to Khanpur Dam with a group of friends. The scorching July weather urged us to quench our thirst with refreshing cold drinks along the way. It was the third day of Eid al-Adha, adding to the festive atmosphere surrounding our trip.

However, our excitement soon turned into confusion as we lost our way. Thankfully, the trusty navigation of Google Maps came to our rescue, guiding us to our destination. We arrived at Khanpur Dam at 9:00 pm, relieved to have finally found our path.

As nightfall settled upon us, we wasted no time in preparing for a delightful BBQ party. The tantalizing aroma of grilled food filled the air, and at 10:30 pm, we indulged in a feast of delicious BBQ delights. With satisfied appetites, we spent the rest of the night serenading each other with songs and engaging in lively conversations.

The tranquility of the night sky slowly gave way to the most enchanting sight—the sunrise. As the first rays of dawn painted the horizon with hues of orange and pink, we stood in awe of nature's breathtaking beauty. It was a truly magical moment that etched itself in our memories.

With the dawn of a new day, we couldn't resist the temptation to take a refreshing swim at the outflow of the dam's water. The coolness of the water invigorated us, and we reveled in the joy of the early morning swim. Time flew by, and before we knew it, it was already 10:00 am, signaling our departure from Khanpur Dam.

The journey back home was filled with laughter, reminiscing about the unforgettable experiences we had shared. We arrived at our homes at 3:00 pm, tired but content, carrying with us the cherished memories of our adventure at Khanpur Dam.

Khanpur Dam is an Excellent recreational point located in Haripur district which is a one hour drive from Islamabad and half hour from Haripur. One can enjoy jet ski, para gliding, boating, horse riding, camel riding, cliff diving and barbecue and many more. It was built during President Ayub Khans period on land of local nawabs who denied Ayub Khan to pass from this place. Khanpur Dam is located on Haro River. Its a beautiful place in the midst of Haripur and Islamabad. One must visit this scenic place with friends and family. The water in this Dam submerge the island located inside the dam and some times surrounding houses and hotels. There is a centuries old mosque and a Mandir located in the island which gets submerged when the water level rises and come out when water level decreases in Dam. All in all a place worth seeing with all its natural beauty; a perfect picnic spot and recreational activities where one can spend some leisure moments with loved ones.
