I visited this above mentioned meezan bank, on Tuesday 27-02-2024 morning 11 am.

AND FAILED TO OPEN A CURRENT ACCOUNT, DUE TO MY SIGNATURE ON MY CNIC CARD WHICH WAS NOT ELIGIBLE AS PER THE SOP'S OF MEEZAN BANK.

After entering the bank, i asked the person on the desk , about the procedure of account opening.

He asked initial question, about my work, residence, purpose and monthly transaction estimate.

After that he looked at my CNIC card and said that your(mine) signature doesn't qualify for ACC opening in meezan bank.

As per his word " aapka signature kachcha hai".

He said that i would have  to go to the nadra office , and request a re issuance of another card and re do my signature as per the meezan bank sop's.

I was shocked, that despite having my cnic validity of 10 years.

Which i applied at nadra office on wasting my seven day's, standing under scorching heat outside their office while waiting for my turn , paid whooping 15 thousand rupees, and now i will have to do it again because it is not as per the meezan bank sop's.

How the hell would i know that my signature should be as per the meezan banks standard operating procedure when i was applying for my cnic card.!?

While that same signature, on my cnic card surpassed all of the criterias , of Bank al habib, standard chartered, al falah and mcb.

Still though i asked the person behind the desk of meezan bank saddar karachi branch, that as per the meezan bank sop's, how should be my signature, so that on another attempt, they wont reject my account opening application.

They said there is no such guidelines of which they can direct me to compose my signature.

Nor they showed me any list of SOP'S which they were actually following as per the meezan bank policies.

A signature basically is a personal choice , which varies from person to person handwriting, which is my way to write it down as per my convenience not on any banks convenience.

This was my last visit at meezan bank.

I will never ever do any transaction nor recommend anyone to do business with meezan bank.

Seems like meezan bank has enough business and doesn't need to cater the new accounts.

Please don't call on this number because they are scammers. Don't share any card or self details
