Sirkap Palace

Sirkap is an ancient archaeological site located near Taxila, Pakistan. It is one of the significant historical sites in the region and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sirkap was a city during the Gandhara period and played a vital role in the history of the Indian subcontinent.

只知道有列入世界文化遺產,導遊很認真的說了很多歷史,可惜聽過就忘了,不過這裡有種遼闊的蒼鬱感,很值得參觀,來聽聽百年或千前的故事!~

The Sirkap site presents a whole ancient city structure at times when many religions peacefully lived together: Buddhists, Nestorians, Jews, Zoroastrians, Hindus. Just to cherish this fact made it worth visiting this place. Much cannot be understood without proficient guide; much isn’t yet understood by the historians themselves. Closest Toilet facilities: Taxila museum.

This is St Thomas's house, a disciple of Jesus, respected to both Muslims and Christians. But there's no decent paved road or path to this place, you have to walk, it's totally neglected. It's a shame on Muslims & the Government that we are not looking after this place. But still worth visiting.
