Meeri Fort

Meeri/Miri has been historical fort of Khanate of Kalat untill demolished by 1935 earthquake, with the ruins still siteable.

This historical land mark stands-out due its unique landscape on main Regional Cooperation for Development (RCD) Road / N-25 National Highway 🛣 (Quetta to Karachi), just at the entrance of Kalat city. This was build on a hill stretching to a considerable length.
After the demolitions the ruins gave a shape of even square mud steep.

The top gives an amzing view of Kalat city, beatiful snow ❄ covered view in winters and green fruit 🍏🍎🍇🍒🍑 orchards in summers, also a distant view of N-25 highway 🛣 and far mountainous⛰ terrain

At the eastern footsteps of Meeri an orchad has been establish along with some crops.

Its is an attractive historical landmark for the people of Kalat and other visitors, I think the place should be developed into a well established park and cultural & historical museum to make it more appealing. With smart planning Meeri can become a tourist attraction for refreshment, recreation and walk through rich history and culture of Kalat. I hope its is developed smartly.
