Gurudwara Sri Darbar Sahib,Dera Baba Nanak being situated only 1 km from India-Pakistan border, Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib can be seen from the Border with naked eyes at a distance of about 4-5 kms. Dera Baba Nanak, one of the most sacred places of the Sikhs, is situated on the banks of river Ravi. Guru Nanak Dev, the first Sikh Guru, settled and died near the village Pakhoke, opposite to the present town and named it Kartarpur. The Bedis, descendants of Guru Nanak Dev built a new town and named it Dera Baba Nanak after their great ancestor. The town has a number of Sikh temples. Pilgrims come to this holy town in large numbers. If you are going to visit Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib , you should also visit Gurudwara Sri Darbar Sahib as it is on the way. This Gurudwara Sahib have accommodation and Langar (Free Food) facility.

A very significant aspect of the place has association to Kartarpur Corridor nowadays.
Baba Nanak has proven even after 550 years that His Benevolence and Grace to Sikhs and Humanity works with first Re-opening and consequent passage of pilgrims to and fro, asserting that Ardas is Fulfilled.
The end of farm laws on the Gurpurab 2021 is another proof of Guru's Kirpa on Mankind.

GURDAWARA DARBAR KARTARPUR SAHIB:

Gurdawara Sahib Kartar pur 120 kilometer away from Lahore and situated on the bank of river Ravi. It is about seven kilometer from Narowal. This Gurdawara sahib was built by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh, Maharaja of Patiala in 1921 to 1929 with the cost of one lakh and 35 thousand rupees in the memory of Baba Guru Nanak jee Maharaja as well as to protect the shrine from the threatened ravages of the river Ravi.

Baba Jee was born in Nankana Sahib in 1469 A.D. in the house of Mehta Kalyan Das and his mother name was Mata Terpita Jee. Baba jee had one elder sister and her name was Babay Nanaki. She was five year elder then Baba Jee.

Baba Guru Nanak Came here in 1521 and established a village with the name of Kartarpur Sahib. He lived here till 1539 and preached the people for the worship of one God. Baba jee also cultivated the barren land by watering it from the well which still existed in working order.

Baba jee taught the people about one God, Love and brotherhood.
NAM JUPPO. Worship the one God( RAB) who create you.
KIRT KARO. Earns living with right ways and means.
WAND CHUKKO. Live together with love and brother hood.
Baba jee was equally popular in Sikhs and Muslims. Sikhs claimed him as guru while Muslim claimed him as Sufi and PEER. Baba jee died on 22 September 1539. Upon his death a dispute accrued in between Muslims and Sikhs about his funeral. Muslims were instead to bury the Baba jee as per Muslim funeral system in grave while Sikhs claimed that Baba jee was Sikh so his funeral will be done according to Sikh religion.

At last one wise elder picked up the bed sheet from his body but there was nothing except the heap of red roses. As per mutual decision Muslims buried the half sheet and 50 percent roses according to the Muslims burial system while the other half sheet and 50 percent roses burnt according to Sikh religion and they made a Samadhi on it while Muslim made Grave near by the Samadhi. Both sign of Sikh and Muslims visit together.
