St. Matthew's Church Nathiagali

This is very good attractions. Church is on the top of the mountain. Very green grassy area and very good view. Very cool weather pine trees are everywhere. Good roads and transport available all day long. Must see attractions if you are near around Murree.

Being a Muslim I thought I should visit this Church from inside since it's wooden structure really attracted me. It was built entirely of cedar wood in 1914 and was designed by Colonel Hope Waddell Kelsall. I welcome all Christians from all over the world to visit this Church, as it's located at very beautiful location of Nathia Gali.

The Church seems very appealing, being a muslim i felt that i must see this church atleast once, so upon request the church keeper permitted me to enter this historical church. It was built entirely of cedar wood in 1914 and was designed by Colonel Hope Waddell Kelsall. The church is looked after by a Muslim family for three generations.

It has a purpose-built rectory, lodging units, staircase, and an old piano. Sometimes, the 'chowkidar' (guard/caretaker) is there and he can open the church for visitors. A lovely and beautiful place to visit . The fog and cold increase the beauty of the place . You can have a walk , can enjoy horse riding , also have a lunch there in the middle of the trees .

In Nathia Gali, there is a church whose foundation laid back in 1914. The church is still well maintained and well managed by local Govt. And it's open for puplic to visit and to spend their time at this holy place.Media giants and few hypocrate people showed blur image of Pakistan to rest of the world. But this is what Pakistan is in real sense and spirit where every religion is protected, respected and celebrated.

Wow. What a graceful building at a very beautiful spot .
I wanted to enter the church but they were busy in class .
I will go someday.
But the park has been ruined by the business mafia .
Once it was a lush green and beautiful park , but now they've converted it into a business.

Saint Mathew's Church Nathiagali is one of the oldest 100 year old beautiful Church very well kept and is mostly open till late evening since the caretaker lives within the vicinity. So one can always visit in when u visiting Nathiagali.

Very well renovated..last year it was orange and I was shocked..this year black and white..really stands out..sane minds do prevail..

Have been there many years back probably in 1995, planning to visit again. It is very peaceful & calm. Atmosphere and the CHURCH itself is excellent. It is a must see place.

Beautiful old wooden church, St Matthew's Church is the only small church in main Nathia Gali , built during British times. It is only a seasonal church and comes under the main jurisdiction of St Luke's Church, Abbottabad; and occasional church services are arranged here either by the vicar of St Luke's or one of the local or visiting pastors affiliated with the Parish of the central Diocese (at Peshawar) . As always, a nice spot to visit at Nathia Gali. A small park adjacent to the church is always the attraction. However it was closed when I visited so wasnt able to go inside.

This place is great, very beautiful Wooden church, well maintained, infront of it is a park, always full of people, and horses are ready to give you a ride, the surroundings will give you an heavan like feelings.

It is a beautiful and historic spot at main Nathiagali and one should spare time visit.
