Taunsa Barrage

This was a really stunning visit 😊. There was a view of water and sun set like sea ⛵. There is a beautiful view of bridge 🌉.

Its Great place for enjoying fishing and also for tourist attractions. The Mangment of taunsa Barrage create new wild life park for tourist.
The sunset and Sunrise seen is great and romantic.

Best experience. Food is Awesome, Ambient is Good.
Best for family time.

Very nice family picnic area. Subject to weather. You can catch aquarium fish very easily here. Plus the Indus trout locally called jhali is a must try. Fish boats for boat rides are very basic. If government focus much can be improved

Beautiful place to visit

Tounsa Barrage is a captivating marvel of engineering and nature. The majestic flow of water against the backdrop of scenic beauty creates a serene ambiance. A must-visit for anyone seeking tranquility and awe-inspiring sights.

Taunsa Barrage located on the River Sindh or Sindhu Darya is of critical importance for the country not just because of it's important to control and store the river water but also because of it's ecological importance. The place is among the Ramsar sites and holds the second largest population of Indus Dolphin 🐬🐬
There is also a information centre of World Wide Fund for Nature Pakistan located near the Barrage aiming to raise awareness and protect the habitat.

Wonderful place for a short trip..

It was perfectly Awesome. We enjoyed the rain there. Water level was maximum. View is quite amazing when the sky is covered with clouds and cool air strikes your face and you are walking along the Indus Bank.

It was amazing visiting this place. The serene and aesthetic cool breeze from the Indus river was fascinating us. My family had dinner at a nearby restaurant, and overall it was an unforgettable visit for our family.

Beautiful place to visit .beauty fulls parks and many fish points .
Where we can eat fish enjoy the view of water.
There is only one problem on taunsa borage .is the root of water and parks is not good

It is the largest barrage in Punjab which supplies many areas with water and fishing. It has parks and boating facilities for families. You can enjoy fish here Jhalli fish wich is number 1 in taste with no spikes.

Indeed this is a beautiful picnic place for one day trip.There are few good and well maintained resturants and tourists' spots.But the river bank is not clean and grabage is destroying the beautyof this place.Sadly you will find plastic bottles and lays packets floating in the water.

Taunsa bridge is most beautiful and famous place of my beloved city Taunsa Sharif, fish fry of taunsa bridge is most likely dishes
