AK (Live Matka Biryani)

Very good service, delicious juicy and spicy biryani, and very professional staff.

There are some well known brands for biryani in Karachi, like Allah Wala, Abba, Friends and many others. Though the taste doesn't match with those traditionally cooked ones, but still the thing is different in itself. You will like it. In very affordable price, you can have a fresh cooked matka biryani. No doubt it's tasty.

Let me tell you one thing I like most. My beloved grandmother often recommends storage of water in matka. As her belief, things are better within that "thikri" utensils. In very similar scenario, after delicious results of matka chai and matka kulfi, matka biryani has been added to the list. Being a new startup, stall and a small space for seating is there.

Menu says, they offer Chicken, Mutton, Beef, Prawn and Fish biryani as well. I have tried the beef one and it was good. Service is ok, as a man appears with matka, opens it and unloads all biryani into a thaal for you. And takes matka back with him.

Over all the quantity of biryani and the test of biryani was very good as compared to the other local dhabba wala but the place is not very hygienic as it's a road side dhabba.

The biryani was not fresh for some reason. Although they cooked it in front since they took a proper 40mins to serve our food but the biryani didnt taste fresh or taste good for that matter. It had an element of reheating. Not worth trying even for its economical price. The sitting area was not clean at all. The only thing good is the staff who are very accommodating.
