Our stay in Kaka palace was very comfortable.
The F&B Manager-,Chaudhary Fareed is so efficient and best in displaying the hospitality of this region.

Zaffarbhai was always very helpful and courteous in handling any issue .
They all work well for Kaka palace being the best place to stay and for all meals in Gurez Valley.

We a group of 5 seniors spend 2 nights in our off beat Kashmir tour programme in last week of May 2024. Rooms were very cozy and comfortable with clean toilets and linens. However, rooms were without any hook or rod for hanging cloths. Staffs were very courteous and prompt. Foods were very well cooked and sufficient. Location wise it was like heaven surrounded by snoe peaked mountains beside a river.

Kaka Palace was a lovely hotel to stay in during our time in Gurez. Everyone in Kaka Palace was so warm, hospitable, and serviceable. Their food, rooms, and overall service made my Gurez trip perfect. I would just like to point out that there was a small issue with the heater in one of the rooms, since it was freezing. But apart from that, really credit and kudos to all the staff, boys, manager, and owner of Kaka Palace for providing such a welcoming and wholesome experience.

Would like to recommend Kaka palace to all the fellow travellers who want to visit Gurez..Great place to stay for families and couples. Rooms are hygienic and staff are polite and always welcoming..Tasty and clean food for both veg and non veg lovers.. My kids enjoyed the food as well..Mr.Zafar was very hospitable and gracious. I highly recommend Kaka palace for all when you are @ Gurez

It's an awesome place to stay and much recommended for all. Rooms are comfortable and clean, they provide room heaters, Geysers and also mattress heaters.
Food is delicious with good quantity.
Owner and staff are very humble with great services.
They suggest best places to visit and also recommends vehicle at reasonable prices.

We arrived at Gurez Valley intending to stay for two days, and fortunately, we booked a stay at Kaka Palace in Dawar. However, due to heavy snowfall, we found ourselves stranded in Dawar for an additional three days. The management and staff at Kaka Palace exhibited exceptional hospitality, going above and beyond to ensure our extended stay was as comfortable as possible. Special recognition goes to the manager, Mr. Zafar, who made every effort to accommodate us. The food was delicious, and the service exceeded our expectations.
We highly recommend that everyone experience the breathtaking views of Gurez Valley and consider staying at Kaka Palace.

One of best managed property in the wilderness. Hygienic with good food serves the purpose of every traveller.

Had a lovely stay at Kaka Palace. Food is top notch. Great hospitality and amazing staff. Highly recommended if you are in Gurez. Stay for atleast 2-3 days and plan Gurez at the start of the trip (instead of the end). Overall, 10/10 for Kaka palace. Go for it.

Kaka Palace Hotel is the best place to stay in Gurez. All the members of the hotel will treat you as your own family member. They have all the facilities like warm electric blanket, hot water, wifi, hot air blower, generator in case of power cut. Food is very good, must try dal makhani and rajma. The hotel owner will make sure that you reach the hotel in time and they will go beyond to make sure you safely reach. We had a flight to catch next day. Hotel owner make sure that we reach Srinagar in time. They themselves call all the govt. people and also came with us to Srinagar just to make sure that there should not be any issue. Must visit Gurez it's really a heaven and don't think other than Kaka Palace for stay.

Kaka Palace in Dawar,It's a home away from home.The host Jaffar saheb is very friendly and hospitable. It was a pleasant stay during 9th & 10th April last in the Kaka Palace. I recommend this hotel while traveling to Gurez Valley. 👌

So I’m really happy and grateful to stay at Kaka Palace Gurez. One of the best hotel in Gurez. I’m pure veg and they served best food best facilities like electric blanket, heaters room blowers, hot water bottles, medicine if required, hot water and bhukari ( a hot burner) for heating, heated restaurant. Now let’s talk about the owner of Kaka Palace is amazing great good heart kind person I’ve ever met. He entertain us with his singing. His kids are the cutest. I’m pure veg and he served brilliantly tasty food in black utensils let me tell you black utensils for vegetarians and white utensils for non vegetarians. Thank you for having us. The BEST.

Kaka palace is the only place in Gurez which is open throughout the year. We were only three tourists in the valley but the owner Azaz Bhai welcomed us with open arms. The property is beautiful and the interior work is just fabulous. The room had a big heater and all the beds had instulated mattress. The owner Azaz bhai and chef Sohail Bhai came to the room themselves and prepared our beds. We had some delicious chicken curry, kashmiri hak, gurez rajma and roti. Ezaz Bhai and we all sat together in the restaurant every night and sang old Hindi ghazals. We talked about life, movies, history and society. The only reason I would ever come back to Gurez is neither the mountains nor the KishanGanga river. It would be only for Kaka palace.

Kaka palace is such a great property. Staff and all the persons are very kind and helpful. They treat like family . Food of kaka palace is amazing nd tasty . Utensils are different for veg and non veg that is such a great thing . They provide everything. View form kaka palace is literally amazing. Food was organic and pure . I have never seen such a property in my life . If you don’t visit kaka palace you will miss great thing . I strongly recommend to visit here . Overall my experience was best . ❤ Kaka palace is such a great place to enjoy vacation 📍

Service from all staffs was amazing, all friendly faces. The food in the restaurant was one of the best I've had. Location is phenomenal, a must visit.

Truly the best place to stay at Gurez. The hotel is beautifully maintained with clean rooms and bedding. The warmth and care provided by host had really made us feel at home. It was very cold but the staffs made us feel comfortable. Provided flask with hot waters whenever required. The food was delicious and we enjoyed every bite of it. Coffee was very good.

Just to note, rooms don’t have good views reason being the hotel constructions around the valley seems very haphazard and not planned properly. So the plce is bit overcrowded with hotels… But within a walking distance of 200 mtr you will find yourself amidst the nature.

We stayed at Kaka palace for a week and I must say it was the best choice one could make for a stay at Gurez. I was a bit doubtful about whether I would be able to work from Gurez due to frequent power cuts. The staff at Kaka palace let me use the power from their generator whenever needed to charge my devices, and made sure that I could work smoothly. Talking about the hospitality, they're the sweetest hosts and will make the best food for you and will give you the best recommendations for travelling around Gurez. I would highly recommend booking your stay with them.
