Michelle Okoh Beauty Salon

We spent a lovely hour in Michelle's salon yesterday getting a couple's foot spa.

The salon looks ordinary externally and does not have a great deal of kerb appeal. However, step across the threshold and you are transported to a location that could be in manila or in London (where we mainly live).

We were warmly welcomed and given a very useful bottle of cool water. The design language is bright and modern and reflects the professionalism that pervades the operation. Michelle is a strong and confident woman and the staff are lucky to have such a multi skilled mentor.

Little things like the extensive use of PPE such as bibs, rubber gloves and masks whenever needed show that staff are very well trained and developed.

The foot spa was extremely thorough and I really believed that the therapist was 100% invested in doing the very best job possible. The therapist working my partner was slightly less experienced and was allowed to do some parts extremely well alone but watched other parts carefully as a training exercise. Again, this showed clearly the professionalism running through the operation.

As a 62 year old male, I was a little apprehensive of coming in but the combination of professionalism, customer focus and laid back atmosphere quickly put me at ease. The stunningly beautiful technician working with me (in fact both technicians enjoyed supermodel good looks) nearly died of embarrassment when I suggested a group photograph to accompany this review - she is on the left in the picture. It was very cute that she was so shy. I thought it showed the technicians commitment to Michelle's and the Business that they could overcome their reluctance for the sake of promoting the business. I wanted to ask their names and ages but felt that it might actually cause a coronary.

Michelle was busy throughout on a complex procedure with another client but I noticed that she regularly but sensitively checked progress with us.

I am a diabetic and really need to look after my feet so I will surely return regularly for more of the same.

Men; don't let the ladies have all the fun! Having a foot spa turns out to be a very relaxing and enjoyable way to pass a free hour.

Sadly, I won't be back in-country until February 2024 but I look forward greatly to returning then.
