Chico's Boodle House

We did not expect the food to be great. We were going to Sadayo and happened to stop over at Bauan town proper to grab lunch.

We first stopped at a different restaurant but decided to check other places first mostly because the price of the food there was pretty high.

But because the menu at Chico’s was more affordable, we decided to eat there. Because of the price, we did not expect the food to be great just something to fill our stomachs before going to the beach.

But we were pleasantly surprised that the food was great. The BBQ was tender, the regular Lomi did not look like it was regular but it was loaded with toppings, the Shanghai was good, and the Sisig was fatty but tasted really good with hot rice. Speaking of rice, their rice was so good! Long-grained and fluffy, it was the type of rice that paired well with any viand.

Because of this great experience, we decided to come back the following day to again eat lunch before going home to Manila.

We ordered Crispy Pata and Enseladang Talong. Again, because of the relatively cheap price, we did not expect the Crispy Pata to be superb. But it was really good. It was cooked to perfection. The fat was rendered well, the skin was crispy and not hard and the serving was enough for at least four (4) persons. We also enjoyed the Enseladang Talong because of the bagoong that came with it. It was good!

We will surely visit Chico’s again if we happen to pass by Bauan.

The place has 8 bahay kubos and a quite spacious dining area in case all kubos are occupied. The foods are quite expensive and honestly some of the foods are really good and some of the foods aren't. It is easy to locate and access. Im not sure if they have wifi. The staffs are friendly and easy to talk with. The comfort room is not as dirty as I expected.

It took an hour for them to serve our food without proper heads up.
The food is good though :)
