Isla de Cavana Resort in Gumaca, Quezon is a decent place to stay for a quick getaway. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. However, there are a few areas that could be improved, such as the variety of amenities and activities offered, as well as the overall maintenance of the resort. Despite these minor shortcomings, the resort still offers a relaxing ambiance, with a stunning view of the nearby lake. Overall, I would rate Isla de Cavana Resort with 3 out of 5 stars, as it offers good value for money and a comfortable stay.

The campsite is 5 stars. Isla de Cabana is a beautiful place to camp and you get to park and camp near the ocean. The staff are nice, helpful and accommodating. Thanks so much for the great customer service.

There are shower and toilet cubicles. You can order food, but just be aware that they charge for the use of utensils and plates when they serve you the food you ordered. So if you're camping and have your own plates and utensils, just get the food!

The ocean is 3 stars. It's rocky during low tide, which is most of the day. Not a very nice place to swim. To kayak, people had to go to the deeper ends because the water was really low. We were quite disappointed because we really missed swimming in the ocean, and went there for that purpose. We were able to take a quick dip by midnight during high tide but not the experience we were looking for.

Crowd is 2 stars. When we went there, there were rowdy drunks telling rowdy stories which our teenage girl could clearly hear. We had to play loud music to drown out their lewd conversation. A peaceful evening? Scratch that.

10 hours drive back and forth. For that drive, I expect a more awesome beach camping experience. It was ok. Being with nature is always nice. But some things are required for an unforgettable camping experience that you'll come back for.

I just don't think the unswimmable ocean and the long drive are worth it.
