If you care more about flavorful food than photgraphs then eat at Merced. Nothing about this place is instagrammable (see the pics as.proof). Instead, it focuses on serving consistently good food; no need for fancy decor and themes. The only thing worthy of really snapping a photo of would be the beaming staff as they proudly serve your food, a manifestation of how much they care for quality.

They were very accommodating and friendly. And their cakes are still so yummy even through the years! Their marshmallow icing cakes are still the best for this sweet tooth! 😍😍😍

Old School bake shop that serves classic Filipino food.
Staff is very attentive and nice.
Their All-day breakfast is our favorite go to food there, since it comes with coffee and a slice of cake.
We also really like their lemon birthday cake. Too bad you can only get them via ordering whole cakes.

I have *always* had wonderful memories of Merced Bake House and its *DELICIOUS* cakes, and would consistently rank its quality as far superior to its competitors. Now if only they had multiple branches, one of which was nearer to where I lived... still, the fact that they are still going strong even after 42 years says a lot about this bakeshop.

Reasonably priced comfort food for forty years. The pan de bonete of my youth has been replaced by kalabasa buns--definitely different, but a healthier choice. Perrennial favorites like the lighter-than-air canonigo, egg pie (pure egg yolks, no extenders) and leche flan so rich, it's more like tocino del cielo, are all still here. Some things are perfect just as they are, and don't need to change at all.

This bakeshop offers imaginative cakes & pastries plus set lunches. It has been operating on the same spot since 1972. *The owner is 100 years old!

Products are vg. This bakeshop ( not ours bec merced is taken from the name mercedes, owner's grandmother's name.) Their prices are very low n their cakes are vg, not very sweet. Their marshmalliw icing is the best. Sila ang origjnal.
They have other products like pastillas de leche, de ube, halaya, etc.
Once in awhile i buy from the bskeshop if i want basic and not fancy cakes.😊

Merced Bakehous is the go-to place when you want a rush order of your fondant and all other kinds of occassion cakes. When I say rush it's like a week or two before the cake will be delivered. Every penny is worth it!

After decades, they are still able to maintain the quality of their Canonigo. Still one of the best in the country.
