It was a fascinating, wonderful view . If you don't know how to swim , it is perfect for you to walk to the Lagoon during low tide because the water just reaches up to the knee, and you will not be scared. There's lots of close cottages to stay overnight

Paguriran island is like a gem in the middle of the sea. It can be accessed by wading during the low tides. Some prefer to swim towards it while others prefer to take a boat ride.Inside the island is a lagoon. The more adventurous dive from the cliffs above. The place can get crowded though during weekends so to avoid them, plan your trips on weekdays.

There was a VERY small fee, if we remember right, we think it was P10/person, to enter Paguriran Island and Lagoon Beach Resort. From there, there are Nipa Cottages (no room) that can be rented during the day/afternoon, and Nipa Huts (1-2 rooms) that can be rented for the night or however long. We ended up renting 1 of the 2-bedroom Nipa Huts for the night. It was priced at P2K, which was only $34.25 for the night. Each room can easily sleep 2 people comfortably on the bed, plus if you have more people, we're sure the floor can accommodate maybe 2-3 more. We also rented the bottom room of the "Nipa Hut Manager's" Nipa Hut...Since it was right below the room they were living in, there was a P300 discount, so that bottom room was only for P700, which was only $12 for the night. As far as the bathrooms/restrooms/comfort rooms (CR), the 2-bedroom Nipa Hut came with its Private Bathroom across the parking area. These Nipa Huts do NOT have AC. They do have stand-up fans, which gave plenty of airflow for the cooler nights. There were rooms available for rent that had AC, but it was a room with 2 beds and a bathroom, with no view. Plus, those obviously cost more. We wanted to get the "local" feel of the place, so we opted for the Nipa Huts, with the beautiful view.

Side Note: Filipinos LOVE Karaoke! Don't be surprised if they're singing their hearts/lungs out WAY into the night! If you're a night owl, we're sure they won't mind if you joined in! But if you're a jet-lagged Tourist, make sure to have ear plugs AND ear muffs on top of the ear plugs!

There are Sari-Sari Stores within the Beach Resort, and there is a Carinderia/Turo-Turo (Food) Place right as you enter the dirt road leading to the Beach Resort. They serve whatever the fresh catch is from either the night before or the morning of, so everything is VERY FRESH.

And last but not least, the Paguriran Island and Lagoon is a VERY short walking distance from the shore. It can be reached by foot regardless of the tide (low/high tide). We walked to it both times and it was doable. Within our pictures, the first time we walked to it was during low tide. If you're snorkeling, especially the outskirts of this Island/Lagoon, we suggest snorkeling when it's low tide, to try and avoid the different currents during high tide. We know this because we snorkeled the outskirts of this Island/Lagoon, during high tide, and the different currents you'd encounter would make you immovable, no matter how hard you swim...And there are pockets where if you're not careful, it can suck you in and slam you onto the rocks...My husband used to be a lifeguard, and I used to surf, so we're not inexperienced/beginners when it comes to swimming and the ocean, but we still got pretty beat up. So! Heads up/You've been warned...

I’ve been here for quite a few times but this place still amaze me.

You get a clear blue water, a lagoon that’s intriguing and waiting to discover and a lot more.

There’s enough parking space. The cottages, accommodation, cr etc are quite good for its price. Stayed here overnight and all I can say was appreciations.

The lagoon is a perfect place for an early morning swimming. You can just walk in the clear waters going there Unfortunately you will not enjoy the beach front because of the rocks and shallow water. We were also a bit disappointed coz we went there for a night swimming but there were no lights and the rocky shore are really a big hindrance. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the lagoon and the view on top of the rocks...swimmers may also enjoy jumping from above. The locals are also very nice and accommodating. Hopefully, the local tourism pays more attention in improving and boosting this little paradise.

One of the breath taking scenery. Heaven, the word it fits! Our whole family love this place, and the island from lagoon superb! Our vacation is super memorable because of it's turquoise beach. From the seashore with chest level water, you can walk to the lagoon island (nearest small island). From their you have the best scenery and enjoy swimming on the lagoon.

A work of nature by the sea. One of the best places to visit if you're in Sorsogon. The tides play a factor in the accessibility of the island. Photos are from the last visit in 2016:

It's my third time visiting this spot. And I could never been happier. When we got there, its currently low tide so we get the chance to go to the lagoon effortlessly. If you're one of us who got there when it's low tide, make sure you wear your slippers, as the corals and rocks are so sharp. I got some bruises on my thighs when we got home.

The cottages are so cheap. You will also find rooms there, both airconditioned and non-airconditioned. The only drawback I can comment about the place is the expensive items sold on the sari-sari store. For example, one Mang Juan costs me Php. 15.00? Yes. Its too expensive. So if you'll go there, ensure you've got something to eat.

Overall, Paguriran is one of the best beach resort I've visited. 👌🏻👌🏻

It was one of the highlights of our Bicol escapade. It started to gain recognition with the crowd. It is a must visit place to see the lagoon. Hoping that the cartakers will do their role to preserve the site.

This island is sooo awesome. It's famous lagoon is soo beautiful. We went to the top of the rock and the view there was amazing. The beach is great and the water is strong. The cottages there were small yet okay.. Price is ranging from P 400 up to P 700. Parking is everywhere. The shower area are not nice yet it's okay. Some cottages have a CR already.

White sand? Cheap Entrance? Cliff Jump? Instagrammable pictures? Sea? Lagoon? Well. You searched the right place. This is located in Sorsogon. You can walk/swim heading to the island/lagoon of Paguriran. This is 2hrs away from legazpi. Just prepare your aqua shoes or wear your sandals/slippers. The rocks/coral are sharp 😊

I always recommend Paguriran Island and Lagoon to my friends. It's like, when you are in Sorsogon City, it is a must that you visit this place. But, you should be very early so that you can still walk in the sand bar going to the Lagoon. The locals would sell their fish produce in the area. So food is not a problem. There are small huts for rent, too. :-)
