Sta. Monica Parish Church - San Nicolas, Minalin, Pampanga (Archdiocese of San Fernando)

Santa Monica Church is one of the most beautiful churches I've ever been. The Minalin town's quiet and simple atmosphere adds to the church's tranquility and serenity. I am very happy that we get to visit this church in our 2022 Visita Iglesia. Include it in your next church visits. It's definitely worth the trip!

Minalin is around 15 mins. away from McArthur Highway and 20 mins. away from the San Simon NLEX Exit.

Sta Monica Church is also called as Minalin Church located in the town centee of San Nicolas, Minalin, Pampanga. It was built in 1614
This baroque-architectural designed church has a beautiful, unique facade. It is considered one of the most beautiful church in the country.
Inside is equally as beautiful. The altar is elaborately decorated, a 'retablo' of saints and the pulpit has floral details.
The church has a solidly- built bell tower.
Unfortunately, the church's front door was closed when we visited, we need to enter through the side door at the back. It was not lighted yet so I can't take much photos.

During Visita Iglesia days, last April 2019, I went here via McArthurt Highway with my motorcycle. The place is very quiet and peaceful. It was the first time I visited Pampanga. All I can say is this old church is perfect for harmony and reflection. I love visiting old churches as it tells stories of faith and sacrifices.

The Santa Monica parish in Minalin is one of oldest parish in Archdiocese of San Fernando in Pampanga. This old church, is conducive for praying because of it's solemn atmosphere and old architectural design. Santa Monica parish is also National Cultural treasure.

Historic Church and very beautiful surrounding. Its strategically placed at the center of town and the people are nice. If you want to experience truly classic and and "go-back-in-time" feels, visit Minalin and this Church.
