THE SCHOOL - BRIEF HISTORY

June 11, St. Anthony Nova School opens its door for the 1971-1972 school year. Conceived by ATTY. TEODORO K. CABRIETO, the school was formally established with co-founders lawyer Juan K. Cabrieto, Mrs. Francisca V. Cabrieto, Mrs. Lucrecia M. Arao, and Engr. Artemio T. Macatangay.

The non-sectarian, co-educational school was named after St. Anthony of Padua, whose feast day is June 13, was the 29th saint to be declared as Doctor of the Church. He was a great Theologian, the most typical and popular Italian Preacher of the Franciscan tradition.

A three-room bungalow built on a 1,500.00 sq. meter lot on Malanting Street, located at the far western, desolate rice field area of Amparo Village, housed the first seven Grade 1 pupils with their teacher.

Guts and determination makes the school distinctive and stand up to failures. "In God we Trust" - is SANS' motto. And truly, with trust and hard work, we will be treading the path to educational excellence and institutional growth.
