San Agustin Parish Church - Lubao, Pampanga (Archdiocese of San Fernando)

Beautiful old church in Lubao, Pampanga. The facade was being maintained when we got there. It has withstood and witnessed several historical events: completed in 1630, occupied by revolutionists, used as a hospital during the American takeover, destroyed during WWII, and then ultimately restored.

Saint Augustine Parish Church is one of the most beautiful churches in the Philippines where I've been to.

I see old walls and its ancient bells. If you really are into old stuff or into some historical stuffs then this place is for you. I recommend this place. Try it someday.

The San Agustin Parish Church also known as the Lubao Church, is a 17th-century Neo-classic, Spanish stone and brick church located at Brgy. San Nicolas 1st, Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines. In 1952, a historical marker bearing a brief history of the structure was installed on the facade of the church by the Historical Committee of the Philippines, precursor of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. In 2013, the church has been declared by the National Museum of the Philippines as an Important Cultural Property.

One of the most historic and oldest churches in Pampanga, it is currently undergoing restoration for damages sustained during the 2019 earthquake. It is an Augustian founded church and named in honor of St. Augustine of Hippo and featured beautiful brick work. It is a National Historical Landmark, also where former Philippine president Diosdado Macapagal was baptized. Within its grounds is the Holy Rosary Academy.

The church is 450 years old. You can see the authentic Spanish architecture of at the walls and windows. The bell tower is as is when it was built. The heavy thick doors are still original. The yard is very big, no problem for parking.

This is the historic church in the Philippines. It is classical and antique church that is really religious and good in architecture.❤
