Kojiro Ojiisan Food House

we were so hungry that we ordered almost everything on the menu except for the kafe latte and kafe jelly. you could also tell how we couldn't wait to eat because the food in our pictures were half-eaten already. LOL.

they served the crispy salad first – the crispy part comes from the fried wrapper that tastes like the wrapper from cheesesticks; the salad itself consists of cabbage, tomato, and cucumber mixed in a mayo-ketchup (i think) dressing. it's yummy and refreshing. next came the nabe yaki ramen and the napolitan spaghetti. the ramen reminded me of Korean instant noodles, maybe because of the egg. the spaghetti though is what i liked, it tastes like home.

i was most excited about the korokke because i knew this was their best-seller. boy, it did not disappoint. we would've ordered more if we weren't full. the potato inside the crispy breading is tasty!

the yaki udon was also delicious. the udon itself was chewy! the okonomiyaki was thick for my liking as i felt that it needed more cabbage, it was yummy nonetheless.

the cold champorado was served last, as a dessert. it was topped with condensed milk and powdered milk. my partner raved about this, and i agree because as someone with a sweet tooth it was indeed chocolate-y!

the staff were friendly and the service was fast. you have the freedom to take down your order on their order slip, and you simply have to give it to the staff afterwards. they accept gcash as a mode of payment.

this was such a long review. I've been eyeing this place since the height of the pandemic. i somehow have a glimpse of what homemade japanese food tastes like, being half japanese myself. experiencing your food felt like home, so thank you! 🥰

Somewhere in Silang, Cavite you can find this quaint hole in the wall Japanese ramen shop if you need to satisfy your ramen cravings. Best part is they serve cold champorado as dessert. My All-Star favorites are in one place. Fate or coincidence?

The store was quiet small (probably less than 15 people can eat inside without the place being crowded). Follows social distancing. Not airconditioned but not that hot inside. Place is clean and food preparation can be observed by the window. I highly recommend the koroke and ramen. Food is really cheap. They accept take out.

Very consistent though getting pricey. Clean, strict and comfort food especially during cold weather or if not feeling well. It's spicy noodles get you going.
