Santa Maria Ai Monti Chapel

When everyone was celebrating holy week by having fun in the pool areas, this place had been delightfully empty. I love resorts with chapels and this one is probably the prettiest I have ever been in. The facade isn't impressive, because it looks really plain and simple. But considering that it has the mountains for its backdrop, decorating the facade further would seem over-the-top. When you go inside, however, it's a different story. The ceiling has charming capiz ornaments. The "Coffee Christ", which is entirely made of coffee branches, hovers above the altar. The walls are open, which allows the air to flow freely. No need for air conditioning here because the place seems to always have a cool breeze. Lastly, I really like how the stained glass windows look water colored. The hues are soft, unlike what you'd normally expect from stained glass art. Beautiful!
