Ortiz Medical and Skin Clinic

I went through the worst experience and treatment on my facial scar that did more harm than good. Two treatments were done to me namely vampire and CO2 laser as recommended by their manager, Ms. Stephanie Eunice Cabral. I was compared to a former client who had an upper lip scar (similar to mine) but it was deeper, darker and more visible. On the other hand, my scar was lighter and skin like color. The assumption that was made from the manager is that my scar would have better results than the former client given the extremities of our scar.

However, the procedure was not thoroughly explained and the pain was extreme. There was no doctor nor examination screening prior to the procedure. I only found out right before the needle was put on my face that the CO2 laser is extremely painful and even the beauty technician, Angel, herself said that she would not undergo the said treatment after experiencing it before. Also, after the procedure, I was only informed by their technician that I cannot put on makeup, toner, sweat or be exposed to the sun. I had to take leave from work due to this. I was promised that the process would take 1 week but it has been more than that and it resulted to my scar worsening than before.

When I called the clinic on a Monday, they told me to go to their main branch clinic (SM Masinag), but I had my treatment in another branch, SM Taytay. I declined this because my consultation should be done where I had my treatment. I sent them my photos before and after. Angel said that she noticed a big difference and that it's more obvious now than before. One of the beauty technicians also told me via phone that they have received MANY complaints, but little to no action is given to these clients. The technicians always take the blow from these complaints unfortunately according to them (the technicians). They also said that the manager and the doctor DO NOT SHOW UP WHEN THERE ARE COMPLAINTS. I told Angel to have the manager and/or Dr. Jennifer Ortiz call me regarding my case but NO CONTACT from them at the time. I messaged again for updates but they said they will update me on the doctor’s availability on Thursday night and that the doctor will call me, but NONE AT ALL.

I had to go to their clinic physically to show that I am utterly disappointed and extremely upset with what they have done to me. No manager, no doctor in the clinic at that time. They finally gave me a consultation schedule after we showed up at the clinic. However, only the associate of Dr. Jennifer Ortiz showed up who’s Dr. Sinay. She agreed that the treatment had worsened my scar and deepened it. Though she mentioned that the healing process would take 3 weeks to a month, I WAS NOT INFORMED. Also, if the healing process was working, then it would not have darkened, and discolored. It even made my scar appear longer and bigger than usual. It was not at all the progress that they have promised as a clinic who supposedly should have provided QUALITY procedures.

More so, Dr. Sinay agreed to a full refund with a scar treatment gel. Though we’ve already agreed on the refund with gel, Steph Cabral’s father out of nowhere called in regards to the situation. He introduced himself as a paralegal who is NOT AFFILIATED to the clinic. He told the doctor and technician to not give the scar treatment gel which he SHOULD NOT HAVE any control over since he is NOT an employee of the said clinic.

This has greatly damaged my trust in the clinic and I will never ever go back. No patient care, and I even felt threatened by the fact that a paralegal had to come in between the already settled situation. I receive no apologies from the manager, Steph Cabral or even Dr. Jennifer Ortiz herself. The only thing that’s left of this situation is my lowered self-esteem and worsened scar.
