This place is truly stunning an absolute privilege to be a part of the wedding taking place here. Historic and iconic in one a beautiful world heritage site.
There are opportunist sellers outside but they're harmless just say no thank you and move on. You will be grateful of sunglasses or a refreshment or two if you've forgotten yours. Surrounding restaurants are welcoming and value for moneyvafter visiting the church

Paoay Church, also known as the Saint Augustine Church, is a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site with a mix of architectural styles. It's big, old, and definitely worth seeing if you're into history and cool buildings.

Parking can be difficult if you visit on a holiday or weekends. But overall it’s a great experience. Resto and shops surround the church so you wouldn’t get hungry. Love the cobbled steps.

Listed as world heritage. The locals and government did a great job preserving the beauty of the church after such a very long time. Such a unique magnificent structure.

I went on a tour to Ilocos Province and the first place we visited was Paoay Church, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the oldest churches in the Philippines and it is amazing to see that it still stands today, since it was built during the time of the Katipuneros. The church has witnessed many events throughout history. During my visit, I took the opportunity to say a fervent prayer.

A majestic baroque style church made centuries ago by Spaniards. It's one of four of this style in the Philippines, all four designated as a world heritage site by UNESCO. This is for good reason, it's quite beautiful. The area surrounding the church has been gentrified to accommodate tourists, though the church itself remains as pious as possible. It's worth seeing, praying, and absorbing the goodness.

The church reminded me of The Alamo in Texas because of it's exterior. This was a good tour. Not much there really. Just the church and a few vendors and restaurants.

I always admire this church. The bell tower and church's shape I love it. And very huge church and wide surrounding lot. This is my favorite church since I first saw it years ago.

One of the most iconic church in the Philippines is located in the town of Paoay, in Ilocos Norte. The church's unique design features the Earthquake Baroque with enormous buttresses jutting out from the sides of the church. Its the first time I saw this kind of design. Its built this way to help the church withstand earthquakes common in Luzon.

The St. Augustine Church is also a heritage church which was built a long time ago, some hundred years back during the Spanish era. It made its mark as a part of Philippines' National Cultural Treasure.

This Church is a Beautiful church. I was in awe! When I saw it. The history is written on it by just looking at the church. It’s incredible how they conserved this church for a very long time. I'm grateful that I could catch a glimpse of this historical building.

It was so nice visiting Paoay Church. We went there together with my family diy. We just commuted from laoag city and it was easy. We took a lot of pictures and videos in the area. We can really feel the touch of history as we enter the church. We visited it on a sunny day but the air is good. There are also spots where we can sit and take a rest. The are stalls in the area that sells food and souvenirs. A must visit in Ilocos.

One of the Philippines' greatest prides. Being a UNESCO World Heritage Site, together with Vigan's Calle Crisologo, it makes me think that Philippine Architecture is not to be trifled with. The bricks used in building this church withstood the test of time, even as a lot of the natural disasters tested this mighty church. Like all the other churches, this also feels holy, and serene. Definite recommend.
