Nuestra Señora de Patrocinio Church (Boljoon Church)

This location is quite peaceful, far away from the crowded city's and noise. Everything about this place is wonderful, from the building to the sea, from the clean beaches to the land and ancient structures like the historic house and the church. The people were also very friendly and welcoming. It's a lengthy drive from Cebu City, but it's well worth the effort.

This is accessible church cause it's beside the main road. There's more to it than a spacious plaza on the front of the church. It is famous for it's museum beside the church. If you're historically interesting, maybe you can visit this.

If you are nostalgic with Spanish architecture and churches then this place is for you. Situated fronting the shore the church yard provides a resting place for a tires souls on late afternoons.

The Nuestra Señora del Patrocinio de Maria Parish Church (Our Lady of Patronage of Mary Parish Church), commonly known as Boljoon Church has been declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines and a National Historical Landmark by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.

Inside the church there's a museum that you could visit with an entrance fee of Php75.00 that already includes a museum attendant that would tour you inside the museum. Their museum attendant speaks so well and knows what she was saying. It was also very interesting that they were able to show us old artist renditions' of the Church itself. There were also objects excavated from their lot and some bones of our ancestors.

The Boljoon Church has a museum. It is located on the ground floor of the rectory of the Church. It houses a collection of archaeological treasures. The museum also displays cultural relics, including some Chinese and Japanese crafts.

One of the most beautiful and historic church I’ve been to. I’m so lucky I was able to attend a mass here. The place is full of history having built by Augustinian priests in 1599. A must place to visit when in Boljoon.

Very nice old church and well maintained. staff were very helpful. Their bathroom is clean if you need to go.

Me and my family made a stop here thought we could attend church before going back to the city however mass would start at 4pm that Sunday so we just took some pictures outside. Its a very beautiful view. The church, old house, the mountains and the beach ❤😊👌

Must visit when you plan to go to oslob for whale shark. The place is solemn no tourist at all perfect for picture taking and a good prayer offering. This is where you see the controvesial lost saints whose in possesion of national museum

It is easy to enter the premises of the church and the environment is clean

Boljoon Church has a rich history and the lawn in front of the parish is just breathtaking. Be sure to visit the museum inside and chill out at the small cafe beside it. Perfect place to get out of the busy city and just lose time there.

Very historical, takes me back to spanish arena

Many things to love about this hurch. Everytime, it gives me a certain kind of peace and calm.

- park/grass/area outside very well maintained
- historic and solemn
- the people in the province are also more calm, friendly and relaxed

The place is magical.
I can spend the whole day just walking around, enjoy the view and fresh air.

A very quite place to stay and most importantly it's a nice place to say your prayer.. I'm amazed by the "oldness"(😁) structure of the church. 👍🏼🙏🏼😇

One of the oldest churches in Cebu, the even preserved the old Escuela Catolica thay used to be a school set up by the church to teach basic education and catechism 😊
