Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church - Poblacion IB, Maragondon, Cavite (Diocese of Imus)

The church is clean and well maintained and is aesthetic despite its old age. One of the things that will catch one's attention is the ornate church door, which is full of carvings. That kind of door is not usual for a Catholic church in my opinion, and its nice to see such art.

Beautiful historical church. Even non-Chaotic people can appreciate the structure of the church and the solemness. The owe that the place inspiring was so overwhelming that I couldn’t help praying on the knees down.

One of the beautiful and old church in Cavite. It is located in Maragondon. There's a stair at the back of the altar where you can go and touch the back of the altar.

A centuries-old church with a rich history as shared by our young impromptu "tour guide" Yel.
The retablo is undergoing restoration and for the first time in decades the statue of Our Lady of the Assumption is at ground level for everyone and all devotees to see really upclose.
Yel shares the miracle this lady has done for a very sick man (he was lame) in Nasugbu, Batangas - yes, our lady also visits nearby towns disguised as a young woman. The healed man said that during his visit to the church he recognized the statue as the lady who said that he would be healed "very soon", and he was healed right after she left.

The image of the Blessed Virgin Mary has been re-enshrined to its original place at the retablo.

A very interesting place to visit here in Maragondon is the Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church which is instrumental during the Philippine revolution.

The architecture well represents the colonial era which has been preserved in the structure of the church.

Its now about the place it's about the effective teaching. There is s wide parking lot.

This church is the only heritage structure in the municipality of Maragondon, Cavite, Philippines declared by the National Museum as a National Cultural Treasure.

Turn On: Well preserve chruch walls, and bell tower, lovely church door that amazes me, spacious ground for parking

Turn Off: Less trees to give shade for visiting travelers

A good place to seek guidance and safe travel before proceeding to the uphill battle of Kaybiang tunnel.

A historical church. You can actually pray and touch the relic of Mary passing through the back of Altar (see attached 2nd pic).

This Spanish Colonial Era church is one of the must visit historical places in the town of Maragondon.

Don't forget to take a picture of its altar and door.

Very nostalgic and pretty at night with the lights at the outline of the church.

This place has been a great place to visit since my childhood. It is not as beautiful as the other churches I have been, but it gives me a great feeling of calm and peace deep within.

I have been here most recently to attend the burials of relatives. I am always awed with the ceremony and respect given by the community in this place, not withstanding the fact that most of us are no longer residents of this place.

This Church has been my ancestors ' place of worship and every celebrations in their lives has been greatly blessed in this place.

The Catholic faith has deep roots here in the Philippines. Buit by the faithful to remind the present and the future the power of faith.
A highly recommended place to visit and say "hello".
