Avoid shopping here - dishonest staff.

On our first day in Cusco my husband brought a pair of gloves here for 40 soles. As he was putting his wallet away in his bag the shopkeeper did some kind of slight of hand and kept hold of the gloves behind her/out of sight. Due to feeling rough from altitude sickness and being tired after a long journey to Cusco we left the shop without noticing he didn’t have the gloves.

After going to put them on the next morning on the way to Machu Picchu and realising he’d left them in the Outdoor Shop we went back to retrieve them when we returned to Cusco the following day. The same lady was on the shop floor as when we had brought the gloves but she claimed not to remember us or what we had brought. She then showed us the book where she keeps a record of the transactions and (surprise surprise) there was no record of the cash payment for the gloves, only a few visa card payments.

She had kept the cash and the gloves, and conveniently made no record of either. Avoid shopping here and supporting a dishonest business. Plenty of other shops and markets in Cusco and surrounding towns where you can pick up reasonably priced outdoor wear.

Compramos dos ponchos para agua, convencidos por la señora de comprar los que valen mas (20 soles cada) porqué así lo podemos usar mas veces... Al día siguiente vamos con un tour a las 7 lagunas y nos pilla la lluvia, bueno a los 10 minutos se empiezan a romper los botones, al solo tocarlos se deshacen, nos dejó tirados en el medio de la tormenta.. calidad terrible!! En la calle te los venden por 5 soles pero decidimos de comprarlos en tienda para que sean de mejor calidad.
Al día siguiente volvemos para hablar con la señora para que por lo menos nos los cambien.. pero empezó a inventar escusas, que nos había dicho que es normal que se rompa porqué es de plástico y que es culpa nuestra que los enganchamos en algo!! Además afirmando que nos había dicho que solo se pueden usar 1 o 2 veces,cuando para venderlos al día anterior nos dijo algo totalmente diferente, no quiso cambiar ni encontrar una solución, solo encontrar escusas!! En fin, muy malos productos y mal trato con el cliente. Si queréis tirar el dinero a la basura es el sitio perfecto!
