Marco and Journey Machu Picchu are incredible. In a matter of days i had booked everything i wanted to do with some great suggestions. It was an amazing trip and really tailored to my wants and requests. I was a lone traveler and they made it super easy to organise things and when things didn't go to plan they were quick to organise new trips and hotels. Great and highly highly recommended!! If Machu Picchu is where you want to go then Journey Machu Picchu is the agency that will hook you up. We recently returned from a very memorable trip to Cusco and Machu Picchu, and Journey Machu Picchu prepared our entire trip. They arranged our flight from Lima to Cusco, where a driver was waiting for us to transport us to the hotel. The hotel they booked for us was spectacular in the historic center of the city. A day later a staff from the agency met with us to review the details of the Inca trail hike. On the day of the Inca trail their staff drove us to the train station at Ollantaytambo, where we boarded the train to Chachabamba, the beginning of the most wonderful and exciting Inca trail experience that we shared with five others including our very experienced and well-informed tour guide, Maribel (Maribel, if you are reading this, you were amazing! Thank you!!). After 9 hours of hiking, and after passing the wonderful ruins of Huiñay Wayna, we reached the Inti Punku from where the city of Machu Picchu can be seen. Maribel led us to the town of Aguas Calientes where we refreshed, had dinner and rested before our return to the city of Machu Picchu the following day. The tour package included our tour guide taking us to Machu Picchu once again to explore the city. After this we took the train back to Ollantaytambo where a driver was already waiting for us and took us back to our hotel in Cuzco. The following morning we were picked up and taken to the airport for our return to Lima. All passes and travel tickets were arranged for us, a healthy lunch was provided during the hike and dinner at Aguas Calientes too. This is our most memorable travel adventure ever, and we are extremely pleased with the services we received.

We booked the Inca trail and it was one of the most rewarding experiences we had as a family. Marco planned our trip from the acclimatization period to make sure we don't have issues with the elevation to the hike into Machu Picchu. My trip to Peru was one of the best experiences I have ever had and it was due in large part to MachuPicchu Journey. When you use a family business and the owners themselves are your contacts, you get a different level of service. Ramiro were absolutely fantastic and designed a fantastic itinerary according to my needs. They were patient with my many questions and the back and forth changes I made. The trip was so well planned that not once was I nervous about missing the start of a tour or not getting where I needed to go.

The tour guides were all so wonderful and knowledgeable and the hotels were comfortable. I had an amazing time in Peru and I have to thank the whole team for this fantastic experience!

Great tour. Guides were excellent and we got an realistic feel for the history and culture of Lima. Cusco and Machu Picchu. They handled any issues that arose with a lot of class. A bit more casual than what we're accustomed to in terms of scheduling but I think that added to the enjoyment of the trip.

Traveling to Peru was my first trip to South America. Michael and Marco were extremely knowledgeable, flexible, and helpful in planning my trip, making great recommendations how to fit the trip to my desires. I booked multiple excursions with Journey Machu Picchu, and as they took care of all logistics, I was able enjoy the beauty of nature and site seeing. I am planning to go back to South America again as there is so much to explore and nature is amazing and I will contact the guys to get their help.

The tour was awesome ! Marco was very attentive and coordinated all excursions thoroughly. All pick-ups, tours were on schedule and the guide on site in Cusco Edgar was able to arrange a Covid test for me before my return to the US. The best experience of my life. My sister and I , we’re from NYC (and we are not experienced trekkers) just got back from the 5 day Salkantay trek. Everything was so well organized and communication before the trip with Marco was great and made us feel safe and well prepared to arrive in Peru. Our guide (Jorge) was incredible.. such a fun ,kind and knowledgeable person. The chef who came with us on the trek was the best and the food was great. Our group, 7 people, had people from all over the world, and we truly bonded and became amazing friends. My sister and I haven’t stopped talking about all our incredible memories since arriving back in New York. Overall, I can’t recomend this trek enough.

I loved Macchu Pichu! I traveled with my son and husband not too long ago and we had an amazing time. Our tour guide Dario was ver knowledgeable and had some great stories to tell. They also made sure we had the right accommodations for traveling with a 3 year old, and not any travel agency goes out of their way for something like that. When they say “customized experience” they mean it!

Great experience! The people at the agency were kind and explanative which made us take the best option on Cuzco to get to Machu Picchu. This was a dreamed trip for me and I am very happy they exceeded my expectations. I did the 5-day Salkantay Trek and it was an amazing experience all-around. The guides (Chino and Gunther) were incredibly knowledgable and made sure that everyone was safe and enjoying themselves. The food was so delicious - way better than expected - and the meals were a great time for group bonding. I cannot recommend the Salkantay Trek with Journey enough! Thanks!
