Excellent museum ship. You can tell it wasn't long ago that it was decommissioned. Most equipment stays true to what would have been operating when in service. As of 2017 its 12S, or 4usd admission, and 1h long tour. It was completely worth it, absolutely recommended.

This is a "must see" attraction that is immaculately maintained and staffed with former submariners from Peru's Navy. These docent tour guides are all submarine qualified petty officers and personable and very willing to answer any questions regarding this diesel-electric submarine. The bathrooms are very clean, and the gift shop is well stocked with many items with excellent prices. This museum, like the Museo Naval de la Marina, just down the street, is an excellent display of Peru's rich Naval History and should be a source of pride for every Peruvian. I highly recommend it for both Peruvian citizens and foreign guests. Plan on spending 2-3 hours here.

"Museo de Sitio Naval-Submarino ex BAP Abtao is absolutely amazing! The submarine exhibits are so cool, and the interactive displays are a blast. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. A must-visit for all history and maritime fans!"

Interesting submarine turned into a museum. Not really easy to access If you are oversized. I guess it's about 4 or 5 soles for the visit and it takes about 50 minutes of being inside with a guide.
