An incredible collection of artifacts covering centuries in this area of Peru. We really enjoyed it and would recommend anyone visiting Chiclayo to come here!

Excellent museum. Make sure to put personal belongings in locker as they do not allow large bags. Pay for a guide or you will not get the full experience. A must see in peru. I was lucky enough to be there for thier 35 year anniversary today.

Beautiful museum, with amazing exhibits, really enjoyed, paid extra for a guided tour, but unfortunately the English speaking guide, spoke hardly any English. Very few of the exhibits had English explanations. But I still enjoyed my time here

Unexpectedly amazing. Probably the most complete archaeological museum I've ever been to. Storyline is very well done and items are kept on careful display. You will be amazed here. I do hope the museum will translate more of the information to English. It seemed they stopped doing that somewhere halfway, which is a shame!

If you visit the actual Royal Tombs of Sipan you really should compliment that with a visit here.
The museum contains a vast amount of actual artifacts that have recovered from looters of the site as well as archeological finds.
Timelines are found throughout the museum which help understand the pre-Inca civilization

Fascinating museum! Very interesting to learn how the old moche culture (before the Inca's) lived. Photos were allowed to be taken inside, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable (in Spanish, I don't know whether English is possible too).

It’s worth it to drive from Chiclayo just to see this museum, and they now finally allow photo taking inside!

Museum with great history and culture of the area. $10 Soles per adult. No photos are allowed in the museum. There is a free baggage check on the side of the museum to safely hold your belongings while inside the museum. Most if not all of the explanations inside the museum are only in Spanish language. The day we visited had dances from bordering countries.

I can understand why this is considered the second greatest archeological find of all time. I was lucky enough to visit this museum and meet with Walter Alva. To heart the story of the discovery from his mouth was incredible. The museum has pieces that will blow your mind. The condition is spectacular, the variety is incredible, the craftsmanship is second to none, and of course, there is a lot of gold. My personal favorites are the Pachamama's, but there is so so so much on each floor of the museum. Even if you're not a museum person this display will leave you speechless. It's well worth the trip.

One of a kind museum. Pay for the guided tour. It's less than $10usd and covers about 1.5hrs of history. They don't let you take cell phones into the museum. That's the only negative side. The jewelry is out of this world and you will be amazed! Definitely a museum worth visiting if you travel to Chiclayo/Lambayeque any time while in Peru!! First Sunday of all months the 10 soles entrance is free.

The Royal Tombs of Sipan is one the most fantastic museums in Peru. Their collection displays the most significant artifacts from the tombs at Huaca Rajada, one of thr biggest discovery in Peruvian archaeology. Prices are fair and there is little to no wait time. 100% recommended if you are passing by Lambayeque!!

This is an amazing museum and requires at least two hours. Guides are available and I advise you hire them because there are very little info graphics inside. Make all arrangements to visit one of the richest tombs in the world.

Very beautiful pieces, I just recommend to have the description in English too and maybe have a fresh beverages store outside consider the climate there.
