Swissotel Lima

We were upgraded to a suite, which was amazing. Very comfortable bed. Staff was attentive and responsive. Would stay there again. Location was great for seeing the city.

This is the 8th time I have stayed here over the last 5-years. The service is always top notch and is the best hotel in the San Isidro area of Lima.

I always stay in a business suite. You get 2 nice bathrooms, a very nice sized living room and a very comfortable bedroom. Generally, I would have access to the Executive lounge area, but due to staffing issues, they have those levels closed. I travel a ton and this is a problem everywhere, so I can not fault them for the little problems. It is really nice to see some of the same faces I have seen over the past few years. I know it is vain, but I enjoy being called by my name throughout the hotel, it is very nice.

The breakfast every morning is good. I am never a breakfast person, but I enjoyed a pot of tea and a bit of food to start the day. They actually use a very good quality black tea. Being a Chicagoan, the weather still is brutal outside at home, so it was nice sitting on the terrace eating breakfast every morning.

The bar here makes a very good Pisco sour, so waiting to go out to dinner at night was also very nice. The restaurant prepares great food, so the snacks were also good. I didn't eat a meal at the restaurant, except breakfast this trip, but the food is good.

From the door staff, to the servers, and management, they all care about their jobs and you can tell. All said and done, everytime I come to Lima for business, I will always stay here.

EDIT 9/24/2023: I have stayed at the Swissotel in San Isidro many times. It always has top notch service and is impeccably clean. Also, the restaurants on-site are on point. La Locanda has delicious food and wonderful staff. I only have one issue, and in my opinion it is big. They used to have wonderful amenities in the room. Wonderful little bottles of Shampoo/Conditioner/Lotion. Why did you go to the communal dispensers? It cheapens the property in my opinion. You have such a pretty property, the communal dispenser almost makes me want to decrease my rating by 1/2 of a star. I know it seems minor, but I do not like these, especially since the pandemic, especially since I/we don't know who puts what into what... I know you might think I am knit picking, but I am really against the communal dispensers in any property...

Amazing hotel . The reception staff are absolutely lovely , helpful . Due to Iberia’s airline catastrophic mess I ended up staying here two nights . The staff made me as comfortable as possible and were patient with my questions as no one knew what was going on due to Iberias issue with the planes . Breakfast was amazing , rooms super comfy and loved the luxurious bath . Thank you Guapos

I had the most amazing time at Swissotel last month with my partner! The service was top-notch, especially Ana de la Cruz, who took care of us during breakfast. She was absolutely lovely! Unfortunately, we had to leave early for our morning flight, so we didn't get the chance to say goodbye. I hope she knows how much we appreciated her recommendations for places to visit during our short stay.

My partner and I had an absolutely incredible and memorable experience staying here for a few days back in September. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and professional, always prepared to assist. The rooms and bed were immaculate and the staff were even kind enough to upgrade us for a very special occasion and provided us with some desserts upon checking in. Will definitely be staying her on my next travels in Lima.

The food was great, not that expensive. I really recommend this place.

Stayed for a long weekend with the family and we all had a great time. It has great facilities like the pool and the gym, which also holds a sauna and an inside heated pool. We spent most of the day in the pool area and ate from the menu available. They have a very good variety of food, from comfort food for kids to 5 star meals. In the evening we walked around the area and had dinner at Avenida Conquistadores, where you have tens of restaurants to choose from. Do try the restaurant right across the hotel, excelent meat !

Great accommodations! Front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel gym is amazing - plenty of equipment, very clean, and the reservation system made sure it wasn't too crowded. Breakfast was delicious - love the bread basket. Some nights there was entertainment in lobby bar - which was lovely. Stayed for business and will definitely stay again next time I'm in town.

Beautiful hotel in a good part of Lima. The first night was awesome, but after testing positive for Covid, I really got to know the hotel because I spent a week recuperating and trying to get my negative test. They put me and my sister in an apartment and we spent a lovely week relaxing and getting better. The staff were wonderful, though housekeeping didn't come- for obvious reasons. My only complaint was that I wasn't crazy about the room service food- though some of the people in our group really liked it. It could have been Covid messed with my taste buds.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Swisshotel. The facilities are excellent, with one of the best gyms I’ve seen at a hotel, spa facilities and lots of good restaurants. The room itself was a bit plain but this was made up for but how comfy the bed was and the excellent bathroom (especially shower). Breakfast was also really good with a brilliant selection of bread (including bread typically found in Switzerland like Laugenbrot and Zopf), although the coffee could definitely be improved and it would be nice to have things like waffles and pancakes made fresh rather than put them in serving containers to go cold and hard. Finally, the staff were absolutely lovely; everyone was incredibly polite and welcoming.

Great place with very friendly and nice service. The breakfast buffet is like the best breakfast buffet I could wish here. It’s like a window of Peru’s amazing food culture. Also the buffet provides some familiar American food like omelettes, pancake, yogurt and you name it. The room is comfortable, we had a good time.

A dated hotel but impeccably maintained with one of the best breakfast buffets in Lima. Centrally located close to top rated restaurants in San Isidro and the country club.

Large, excellently equipped business hotel. The staff are all extremely helpful and polite. The hotel has many restaurants, all of which serve excellent food.

La Locanda, the flagship restaurant, is rated as amongst the very best in Lima — make sure you reserve ahead, however! The gourmet deli is also definitely worth a visit.

The pool, spa and gym are possibly the very best equipped I have seen in a hotel, and should not be missed!

Finally, the rooms are spacious, if a little genetically decorated, beds enormous and very comfortable, and the bathroom has the most powerful shower I have had the privilege of using for a very long time. Gilchrist and Soames toiletries, too. Finally, by virtue of its location, the hotel is very quiet indeed.

My massage was one of the best I ever had. Milagros (I'm so sorry if I didn't spell her name correctly) was extraordinary and her attention to detail made me feel cared for. Hotel was clean, sauna was quiet and relaxing. Absolutely superb service.

A good place but the price is very high for the service.

In the second visit: Very good attention from the reception, attentive to suggestions and requests to enjoy your stay. I stayed for work but with the last visit I am very encouraged to do so in moments of rest and entertainment.

I chose this hotel for my mother's birthday, and since the moment I emailed the concierge for some ideas, hotel exceeded my expectations. They helped me so much with all my plans, and all was excellent!. Lot of thanks to Lelia (lead concierge), she was amazing with all, and so helpful, professional, and made sure my stay was amazing, and it was. Front Desk team was amazing too, always professional and assertive with answers and service. Room was perfect, internet was fast. Breakfast is great, if you ever visit this Hotel, please add the breakfast buffet, you won't regret. Lovely lobby, they have a pianist performing every night, and it was great to sit and listen. Rooms are fine, breakfast options at The Cafe are great but service is exceptional at all stages, front desk, concierge, etc. Outstanding service of Mitsoo transportation to/from airport and move around the city, good bar for cocktails. Value worths the pricing.

Beautiful hotel in a safe part of town! I stayed here with two kids and felt safe walking to ocean. I learned later on that not all places in Lima are safe, so maybe don’t hop in and out of cabs like we did.

So bummed we didn't get to try the pool! We were just there for the night, loved the beds, the massive bathroom, and the floor to ceiling windows! It was also a 7 sol Uber ride to miraflores.

Absolutely love staying at this hotel. Great service, super clean amenities, a great pool and gym area. The breakfast buffet offers typical Peruvian food as well as the usual international foods.
