The source of the amazon according to the Hatun Mayu expedition of 1999. Just go along the rocks for 5 more minutes to find the more impressive source of McIntyre 1971.

Regarding the exact spot of the source, various positions have been proposed and several are found here. I'd recommend to climb Nevado Mismi to be sure to be there, since the water originates from the glacier. On the way you will hear some water flowing under the rocks/snow.
