A nice place to people watch or just sit and chill enjoying the day. Many nice places to eat surround this square. Nice art is everywhere and other exhibits rotate through the park.

Barranco its a bohemian place where everytime you go there, you will find something magic, colorful, romantic with history. Sunsets, culture, nice food, nice view, and a lot of options for food and drinks or just for a walk. Always happy to come back.

**Saturday Night** Street Food Market - A mix of different foods from local vendors. Perfect for dates, families or friends. I'd encourage any tourist to go! It's also surprisingly sanitary, so you won't have to worry if your a foreigner.

Dating from 1898, the Parque Municipal de Barranco is a center point of the upscale Barranco district of Lima, Perú. The pérgola (1940) is crowned with bougainvillea.

This is beautiful esp at night! Its super lively and packed. It has lots restaurants, unique cafes and bars (where you can hear music in one, or talk politics in another), street vendors and street performers. I loved it! It can be super romantic, or great place to hangout with friends or family!

Very open area with many things to see/do/experience for children and adults. When there, we caught a performance by street performers, which included a ventriloquist, a clown, and puppetry. Very entertaining.

The district of Barranco, often described as the bohemian neighborhood of LIma, stretches to the south-east of Miraflores all the way to Chorrillos area. Two cultural institutions mark (very approximately) the boundaries of Barranco, the Museum of the Contemporary Art (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo), at its border with Miraflores and MATE Mario Testino Museum, towards Chorrillos. These are not the only museums in the district; there is an amazing Pedro de Osma Museum (a few steps to the south of Mario Testino Museum), a more of a special interest Electricity Museum, several churches (Iglesia De La Santisima Cruz and Iglesia La Ermita, both within 2 minutes' walk from each other), and historical monuments.
Even though the total area of Barranco is 3.33 km2, the chances are you will be touring its very central part, the area around Parque Municipal de Barranco, Plaza Municipal De Barranco, Parque de la Cruz, and the famous Puente de los Suspiros (Bridge of Sighs), the latter is rumored to possess special powers, for if you cross it without taking a breath, your wishes would necessarily come true. This area is a true hub of all kinds of activities and is very popular with both tourists and residents alike. We have visited it a few times, both during the day and at night. We recommend you do the same, but if you are limited in time, a night visit would be more picturesque.
The area of the Plaza Municipal De Barranco offers lush parks designed in a multilevel way, historical monuments (the most memorable are Chabuca Granda and José Antonio Lavalle, the famous singer of música criolla and a hero of one of her hit songs, the 'Vultures' modern sculpture, and the memorial to the hero of the War of the Pacific, General Francisco Bolognesi), picturesque walkways, Boulevard Sánchez Carrión with its many restaurants and bars, street food vendors, etc. Most of the cafes and restaurants in this area are mainly tourist oriented, but walking to the south on Avenida Pedro de Osma you will find two of the very best Lima (and world's) restaurants, Central and KJolle (both located in the same building).
Walking to the north (on either Avenida San Martin or Avenida Almirante Miguel Grau) you will get to the Gallery Dédalo offering authentic Peruvian arts & crafts (not your usual cheap souvenirs shop), across of which is located Hotel B, the only city hotel belonging to the highly prestigious Relais & Châteaux network.
All the historical monuments, museums, and parks aside, we believe that the most unique and the most enjoyable aspect of Barranco is its spirit, its many unique houses and mansions, art galleries, little cafes, and picturesque inner courtyards that you can get a glimpse on through ornate iron-wrought gates. Just take a stroll, preferably in a leisurely fashion, and breathe the magnificent air of the Pacific, admiring the scenes surpassing time and overcoming all travails and tribulations.

A lot of activities everyday, on Saturday's night there's always some locals musicians who plays in the park or on the boulevard, also you can find a lot of local foods and it's cheap. Near the park you can find some bars or pubs to drink and eat a beer or aome shoots.
You can go there by Metropolitano, it's just 1 street to the Bulevard station.

One of my favorite places when I go visit Lima. Barranco is known for its nightlife and bohemian feel. When you're there go to el Puente de Los Suspiros. Go down the stairs and look at the view of the ocean. If you want to get a really spectacular view go and watch the sunset. They are some of the nicest I've seen! Enjoy the sights and have fun!
