After visiting Mach Picchu, visiting yhis museum seemed a must. It was great to see the artifacts from the expedition. Cash (soles) is required.

We visited the museum after spending two days at Machu Picchu. It's a wonderful collection, very well presented, and a cool building to walk through. It's a must-do if you spend time in Cusco. Plan on 2 to 3 hours to walk through the galleries.

Very interesting information about Machu Picchu that you won’t get on-site. Highly recommend spending an hour here before going on your trek or trip there!

You can learn the wholr story of Hiran Bingham' 1911/1912 expeditions here. It prepares your visit to Machu Picchu or complements it.

Clean, open, and easily navigated museum dedicated to the discovery and subsequent preservation of Machu Picchu. I went there prior to my trip in person to Machu Picchu in a couple of days and found it well laid out, clean, informative, and very interesting.

For 20 soles and an hour or two of your time, you can see a lot of firsthand artifacts and an appreciable wealth of knowledge in a part of Cusco that has plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars nearby. Good stop, in my opinion.

Rated the top Cusco attraction by the Lonely Planet guide book. 20 soles per adult (cheaper for Peruvians). Houses some of the artefacts Hiram Bingham and other 'Western' archaeologists did not walk off with. Very interesting series of photos of Bingham at the site some 100-110 years ago. A large scale model of the site, mummified remains etc.
Plenty 90% but not all displays in good English. Just off the the central Plaza de Armas. Not crowded.

A must see if you are interested in learning about the Inca empire in the area and their history. Everything from bones to artifacts, with clear explanations in English and Spanish, and interactive exhibits, in a beautiful building.
