Cuzco Main Square

Beautiful and historic plaza. It stunning in the day but even better at night. The lights around the town glisten like stars, it’s honestly mesmerising. There is a lot of seating available. There are also many vendors who will approach you, some selling scarves are quite persistent but rest are fine and respect if you decline.

Beautiful and historical place in Cusco Peru. Very lovely , large open space in downtown Cusco. You see a lot of historical buildings and churches. Be prepared to walk along cobblestones. Definitely a place to visit if you’re in Cusco Peru.

I love Cuzco. It is full of history. The roads are paved with cobblestone mostly. Be ready for many hills and beauty of the past and colours of the art that leaks through centuries. If you like history, you will like this town. It was the longest I have stayed in a city in Peru.

Cusco is one of the most beautiful cities in Peru, and the main square is right in the heart of the downtown area. Both daytime and evening views are wonderful, and we enjoyed visiting the cathedrals & having meals in nearby restaurants. Highly recommended!

Historic square with a lively mix of locals and tourists enjoying the fresh air. A lot of street vendors, some are more aggressive than others but most will leave you alone if you tell them no twice.

Cusco is magical and wonderful. This square feels like the heart of the city and it is fun seeing people just enjoying life in Cusco at any time of the day. There are a TON of vendors trying to sell stuff. We were there during a celebration and people were just smiling and dancing to the live music. Plaza de armas is amazing. Take it in while you are there.

Cusco is one of my favourite cities in the world. So much creativity and beauty. But also safe and peaceful. There are always amazing markets and celebrations going on. It really is an amazing place.

Very busy . Lots of festivals and lot of people. An incredible fun plaza square! Plenty of shops, bar and restaurants around the square and great views up to the mountains all around.

Must visit. Make sure to carry a poncho or rain jacket when visiting.. the rain is very dynamic.

I had a great experience at Cusco Main Square. Despite it being quite crowded, I found the place to be charming and filled with numerous restaurant options and delightful souvenir shops. While it might be a bit on the expensive side, the quality of souvenirs makes it worthwhile.

I noticed there’s an option to visit the cathedral, although I didn’t have the chance this time. Overall, it’s a fantastic place for leisurely walks, taking pictures, and picking up souvenirs. You can also enjoy a decent lunch or dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. Surprisingly, despite its central location, the area felt very safe, making it an ideal spot for tourists to gather and explore. Don’t miss the chance to soak in the vibrant atmosphere and take a leisurely stroll around Cusco Main Square.

Very relaxed park in the centre although you do receive a procession of street sellers hawking goods. They are good natured and drift off with a simple no and smile.
It is very busy with locals at night. Lots of good restaurants.

One of the most beautiful places I've seen during my travels. People are friendly, there's constantly something cultural and fun happening and the park is really well maintained

Very nice spot to visit, varied architecture. A little hassel with hawkers, but just ignore and enjoy the atmosphere.

The Plaza de Armas in Cusco is very beautiful. There's plenty of seating in it and the grass and flowers are well maintained. There's a lovely statue of Pachacuti, the emperor of the Inca empire, on a fountain in the centre.
It is surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, such as the Cathedral of Cusco, the Church of the Society of Jesus, and the Basilica Menor de la Merced. There are lovely colonial buildings all around and it is surrounded by hills with houses built into them. It's very scenic.
There are shops and restaurants surrounding the plaza, although as you might expect, they are all more expensive than those found just a few streets away. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you view this, there is also a Macdonald's and a KFC located there too now.
The only downside of being in this beautiful plaza are the constant interruptions from hawkers, trying to sell their wares and from women offering massages every few seconds.

Plaza Mayor de Cusco is naturally the go to place for most tourists visiting Cusco. It is surrounded by beautiful churches and museums. There is constantly traffic and road crossing can be difficult for visitors. You will encounter those selling tourist packages, those who wants to shine your shoes, and both local Peruvians and tourists here. Don't forget to pick up a BTC for those museum visits.

Such a great weekend in Cusco. Must visit if you can, highly recommended. Narrow streets, old with inca energy. The main square with cathedral and park is a work of magic, like I was in another world.

Magical place. Don't give 20 soles to the lady who lets you take a picture with a baby Llama. 3 is enough.

Beautiful Cuzco Main Square. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants around the square and great views up to the mountains all around. We’ll worth a visit when in Cuzco - in fact you’d find it hard not to!

A great place to sit down and relax and watch the work go by. You can also by artworks, sunglasses and other items from passersby if you need anything. Great opportunities to photograph alpacas roaming the streets with their shepherds too.

a beautiful place with many alleys and each one means something and will lead you somewhere..🌞🏔🍀😉
