Super nice luxury sleeper train. Great food and drink ,also super customer service. But it is also super expensive, you get what you pay for. And maybe a little bit more. Average ticket is above 1000.00 US dollars.

I went to buy local tickets to the station located in Wanchaq, I went on the 30th and the local tickets where sold out until the 2nd of February. I’m visiting Machupichu last on my trip, so it worked out for us. The service was very helpful and friendly. I got the tickets that best suited my trip and the staff took the time to listen to my questions and explain the details of the trip.

I had a bus and train combination to Machu Picchu and my hotel did not bring my bags on time to the station. Perurail, especially Mariela who works at Wanchaq, was kind enough and went out of her way to call the hotel and spoke to them numerous times until they brought our suitcases. She was so polite and kind and went out of her way to help us. She also was able to confirm that our suitcases would board the train on time. Thank you Perurail, and especially Mariela and Victor.
