The English interpretation is not great, but the artifacts are really cool. The mummies are so fascinating and the price is reasonable. A must stop when you visit Cusco and the land of the Incas

If you're visiting Cuzco, please make sure to visit this museum. Its style of display may strike you as old-fashioned in the beginning but this is a treasure trove full of pertinent information. The building in itself is a delight to experience; we basked in the sun sitting at the patio's benches and catching our breath, as we were still affected by the altitude sickness.
We were also very happy to chance upon a delightful lady ceramist working right next to the stairs to the second floor. We bought plenty of her gorgeous handmade jewellery to bring back to our friends as souvenirs.

Excelent place to learn about different civilizations established in Peruvian settlements. It covers from pre hispanic period until republican time. Very nice. I strongly recommend to ask for a guide.

Cool museum of Inca culture, connection with antiquity, mummies, burials, gold, cool display - not huge, but worth a visit and invest your time if you are interested in such things!

Best museum in Cusco. You don't need the city pass. Just 10 soles to get in. I would spend 1 1/4 to 2 hours here. Excellent pre-Inca and through Inca history. It does close early everyday at 4pm

Very complete and authentic collection! They included even real mommies in the state they were found! I was surprised that this place was not full of people! I guess it doesn’t get the deserved advertising since we didn’t even know about it! It might need a little TLC but is a most to visit if you are in Cusco!

I loved this simple museum. It covered the pre-Inka period through the Spanish conquest with art and culture. They also have several large models of significant Inca sites. The only downside was the English translation peters out about half halfway through. But if you have even a little Spanish and a loose sense of the history you can understand what you are viewing. A bargain for 10 soles.

The collection is incredibly comprehensive and genuine! It goes above and beyond by featuring real mummies in their original state of discovery. I was astonished by the lack of crowds at this place! It seems that it hasn't received the recognition it truly deserves, as we were completely unaware of its existence. While it could benefit from some tender loving care, it is an absolute must-visit if you find yourself in Cusco!

This museum has the biggest pottery collection I've seen. It also has a nice breakdown how different groups of people lived in different areas. Lot of jewellery and clothing samples as well and how those clothes were made, you can also see two ladies in the yard making them. Plus mummies and skulls

Very interesting to see the pre-Inka and Inka history. Lots of displays, artefacts, and information (most signs had english translations). Can spend quite a while here looking at it all!

My biggest impression here was a student girl who greeted us and gave us a tour around the museum. I think her name was Gabriela. She was so enthusiastic and eager to share all of her knowledge with us. She's only 20 but already had every little detail about Inka history to share with us. She used her phone to show us additional images to complete the story. I loved her so much.

A wonderful place to learn about Inka history directly in Cusco. It is forbidden to take photos of the inside.

Really worthy a visit with all possible artefacts and stories.

Excellent museum! Don't forget to visit the music room for a demonstration of a large variety of ancient Inca musical instruments.
