Kusilluchayoc - El templo de los monos

This is an interesting archaeological site in Saqsayhuaman Park.
I would suggest doing some research before you visit or having a guide.
Lots of hidden gems to be found at this site that will almost certainly be missed by the untrained eye.
Situated next to a section of Inca Trail the location is peaceful and scenic.

We walked from the central plaza to the ruins. It’s a heart thumper of a walk, but we’ll worth it!

Highly recommend for those who want to get a little “altitude training in” 😳

Nice ruins to visit, located right next to the inca trail. You can’t see much, you have to let your imagination do the rest. But it’s so peaceful. The walk from the round table on the outskirts of Cusco take about 30-40min. It’s a really nice hike. Plus you have the moon temple right next to it and both are free!

Manuel took us on a private and amazing tour of a somewhat abandoned and deserted archaeological site: the temple of the moon. While it had some inca vestiges, many predated then. He was able to show us the hidden mysteries of the site. It was a magical tour reconnecting with ancient civilizations.

This is where a wonderful day will start for you. Follow the old Inca highway up and out of the city. After you leave civilization you'll come across The Temple of the monkey. The Inca royalty would parade people through the rocks, as they sat in a carved Stone seat. The rock wall barely a meter from their seat was covered in mirror. The people on parade naked! There is a place for offerings, a roughly heart shaped rock protruding from under a crag. Put on your sunscreen, make sure you have water, and keep hiking.

Temple of the Monkeys

Es un sitio arqueológico de la cultura inca con varias Huacas sagradas, la piedra redonda, la mesa, nichos, la del corazón y la del mono con la serpiente y el agua, el camino inca, los tambos y es el camino para el templo de la luna, de la zona x, del Inkiltambo y otras Huacas del complejo de Sacsauiman

En estos meses de lluvia, el color verde embellece aún más este lugar! Kusilluchayoc más conocido como el templo de los monos. Otro atractivo en la ciudad imperial del Cusco! Gracias Pachamama por regalarnos bellos paisajes!

Parc à l’extérieur de Cuzco qui est facilement accessible à pied depuis la place d’armes.
Certes il faudra compter une petite heure et un beau dénivelé mais la balade vaut le détour pour son calme et son aspect zen propice aux ressourcements quand on est constamment dans la mouvance de Cusco.
Bref, vous l’aurez compris, un lieu pour prendre un bon bol d’air sur les hauteurs de Cuzco.
En ce qui concerne les ruines...malheureusement rien de spécial...😑
