A small museum outlining the history of coca in the area as well as the medicinal benefits of the plant. They have a nice gift shop with lots of coca products for you to buy and enjoy whilst in Peru as well as a small bar if you want to sit and have a drink. They accept cash and credit card for payment. Worth 30 mins while in Cusco.

A-w-e-s-o-m-e. It's a small on the making museum but the info is good enough not too much not too little. Very interesting! There is also a small shop with coca souvenirs like chocolates and tea's, must visit. They vow for legalizing the coca leaf all over since its got so many properties.

Interesting museum explaining the pro‘s and con‘s of the coca plant (in cocaine as well as in other forms) and it’s rise in the world.
The founder dedicated the museum to a friend who died of poisoning by cocaine.
The Ambiente could be renovated but for the cheap entrance fee you’ll even get a free Coca caramel and tee 👌🏻

For a museum it maybe has not the best interior with descriptions and information on some long ago printed sheets, BUT for me it has the spirit. I could really dig into the history and learn a lot for only 7 soles. Also it has handmade chocolate like the other Chocolate Museum which is more in the center, but for me the combination was great. Even speaking about Freddie Mercury and his last words gave me chills :))) and also some alien vibes I didn't excpect, so check it out!

Short, sweet & informative. 10 soles entrance fee; which is fine. Plus they offer you coca tea or leaves to chew with llipta while you walk around the museum of this amazing plant. Plus a shop where you can buy different coca products. Go see it.

Very interesting museum about the history, current developments and story of how coca became what it is today. Medicine, a drug, part of the most famous drink in the world and so much more. Definitely worth to visit and for free with a donation obligatory. There is also a shop with a lot of coca products.

Valuable insights into a famous and controversial feature of South American culture. The free museum, actually attached to a everything-coca shop, covers cultural and social aspects, but doesn’t “forget” mentioning the destructive uses of coca. If you speak Spanish, do ask for explanations. Also they know who can legally bring back what to which country (some ban coca leaves, etc)

A friend suggested we visit here and we were so happy we did. For only 5 Soles we had a 30 minute chat with the owner, saw some beautiful and incredible history of this highly important cultural piece (the Coca leaf), and had a chance to shop in their very nice gift shop afterwards.

Tucked away on the 2nd floor is a very interesting tribute to the influence of the Coca plant on ancient South American cultures. It is a nice way to kill an hour learning about the significance of the plant. Its medical properties and its modern chemical production. Well worth a visit.
