Casa Chillitupa

Great place to stay when visiting the Paloccoyo rainbow mountain. It is easier hike, less people and actually 3 mountains and a stone forest. The host family is very friendly and they will help with organizing transport to the mountain

Incredible base to rest and explore Palcoyo at a reasonable hour. Owners are the nicest people ever. Quality of everything is higher than you can reasonably expect in such a remote location, very neat and well kept, would highly recommend this stop to anyone. If you’re driving here watch the video they send you!! Map apps will take you on the wrong road there, as roads are not all on the map.

Des chambres très cosy et un accueil excellent ! Nous recommandons cette "casa"! Le petit-déjeuner était très bien et il y a un baby foot pour les enfants !

La atención es super buena, con amor y mucho cariño te atendiente como si estuvieras en casa, la comida es local y muy rica, es un ambiente acogedor. El hospedaje queda retirado de la ciudad a su alrededor solo viven personas de la misma localidad que se dedican al cultivo y cría de animales, la casa chillitupa tiene una historia muy linda de generaciones. Cerca queda una de las montañas de 7 colores que no es tan visitada por turistas y es un lugar mágico.

Excelente lugar.... Te desconectas de lo convencional... Mucha naturaleza y cerca de lugares interesantes a visitar... Montaña de Pallcoyo(el otro 7 colores), Racchi, Queswachacca y unas Lagunitas cercanas(muchos flamencos). Recomiendo estar unos 3 días como mínimo.

El servicio es increíble en el lugar. Tenía pensado quedarme 1 día pero pedí extenderlo a 2 ya que me enamoré del lugar. Melissa es una excelente anfitriona!

Lugar retirado, hermoso sitio, excelente atención e instalaciones

Great place, bedrooms look inviting. We had a good time and even had fun time with the owners over a camp fire. Only problem was at time of paying. They charged us for 5 plastic cups, lending us 5 plates to eat with, using the BBQ was 50 soles (after negotiating, originally 60), we wanted to wash the dishes we used but they kindly suggested to leave it only to find out that we were charged for that as well.. Even our teas (just tea bags with hot water not something extra special).

Couldn't believe my eyes when they wrote down a fee for a portion of onions.. We just forgot and asked if they can provide.

We also brought (almost) all ingredients for a pizza because we knew that they had a oven, only to discover that they rent it out for about 100 soles (they said 130 including ingredients which we brought)

Again the owners are really friendly and I wish them well but this is not a way to work in hospitality in my opinion. I have been in many places in several countries and never had such an experience.

If they change they're pricing I would reconsider maybe returning as a guest again.

PS - not suitable for digital nomads as the cellular signal is very weak and wifi pretty slow.
