I loved watching people go about their morning but still to genuflect at the Church before hurrying on. It shows how central this peaceful place is to lives of ordinary Cusco natives. It's a beautiful place to boot

I loved this place. I find that it has information and architecture worth visiting and better with a guide since there are details that it is impossible to see without them.

This beautiful cathedral should be on every list of places to see in Cusco. There are guided tours which are very informative and interesting and include a visit to the catacombs. The art and religious artifacts are amazing. Well worth the small price of 15 Sols.

Including 30 minutes English guide to 15Ps. You can see the pictures of the original works, the underground skeleton room, and the library of ancient books. Amazing value! I highly recommend it.

Breathtaking artwork. I'm an atheist but very spritually moved by these works. I struggle to reconcile the beauty of these places, the wealth of the church and the barbaric acts committed worldwide by the Spanish in the name of Catholicism. Weird huh?

t was built by order of the Viceroy "Francisco de Toledo" in 1572. The church had to be restored after the earthquake of 1650. Its plant has the shape of a Latin cross, it has three naves and a tall square tower. This construction of stone, limestone and song had problems in the closing of its arches and vaults, which were closed at that time, being half built one of the bell towers to this day.
The order of the Franciscans arrived in Cusco the first years of the Spanish conquest, first settled in the current neighborhood of San Blas, then moved to the square of Santo Domingo to finally settle in the current Plaza San Francisco in 1549 approximately.
The church of "San Francisco de Asís" was built under the direction of the Cusco architect Francisco Domínguez Chávez y Arellano. The cloister of San Francisco de Asís is the oldest in Cusco and houses the largest canvas America that represents the family tree of the Franciscan family.

Great place to chill out. In the morning, you'll see the kids going to church and adults getting breakfast. Street food by the vendors mostly in the morning.

Es imprescindible visitarlo. Tiene las pinturas virreinales más grandes de sudamérica. Muy buena la visita guiada, una lástima que no te dejen tomar fotografías del lugar. Se puede visitar las catacumbas, y el lugar del coro que tiene un piano gigante. Muy interesante la historia del lugar

在回酒店路上看到这个教堂，顺路进去看看，却是出乎预料的精彩，地下墓穴，图书馆、建筑物、花园和各种大大小小的油画都很有特色。最震撼人的是油画《最后的晚餐》，在耶稣的盘子里放着一只猴子而不是面包。比主座教堂在耶稣盘子里放豚鼠的《最后的晚餐》更精彩更大更生动。

Desafortunadamente no permiten fotos ni vídeos pero sin duda es un paseo turístico obligado..la entrada cuesta 10 soles por persona y juntan un grupo para dar el recorrido con un guía que va de manera muy clara explicando cada sala del lugar . Las catacumbas son una experiencia impresionante y en si un recorrido muy interesante ..

La iglesia es muy bonita, el tour prácticamente es personalizado, abren a las 9:30 si mal no me equivoco, y yo llegue a esa hora, así que el guía solo me atendió a mi, quien sabía bastante de la historia (muy bonita además) y todo lo referente con la venida de la orden Franciscana a Cusco. No hay boleto para universitario. El costo del boleto cuesta 10.00 Soles y también se puede pagar con visa.
Hay una pequeña tienda donde puedes comprar la Tao, que es el símbolo de los franciscanos.
Recomiendo este lugar mucho.
