MARAY carnes y pizzas a la piedra volcánica

There's a reason that this is the highest rated restaurant in town, they offer a lot of the Peruvian classics.

The most exciting thing they offer is different types of meats on volcanic rock. Think of the sizzling plate of a fajita. It gets everywhere and you have to wear this special bib. And it is 100% worth it and it's quite the experience.

I went for the llama steak and it was seasoned incredibly well and cooked exactly to perfection. And the cherry on top was that all of the local meats like llama and alpaca are cheaper than beef. Where else in the world can you try these exotic meats for less than $10 with all the sides?

We enjoyed our dinner at MARAY's. We had pizza and alpaca steak, which were delicious. The steak was served rare medium on a hot lava stone, on which it was still cooking. Recommendation!

After a warm bath in the therms, this hit the spot. You have to wait a bit but it's worth it. The pizza was really really really good and the quinoa soup was a warm hug.
The space is stylish and they play nice music!

It's a bit off the main square but that's a good thing! The food here is not like the other "tourist traps" skip your tour recommendation and eat here! Great quality and service is impeccable. Delicious!!

Great start to something really special for a small Peruvian town like Chivay!
Food presentation and taste is great (I had T-Bone). Some details still need to be worked-out though. While steak on a hot plate looks (and sounds) great, after a while it gets overdone, especially having in mind that it's not an inch thick. A regular plate should be available for moving it away from hot-plate. Also it sizzles and covers everything around in droplets of it's "juice". Big napkin on client's lap would solve this problem.
Nevertheless, I'm very happy to have chosen Maray as my dinner spot!

Food is awesome! Great service but it was a little slow which is expected in Peru. Amazing dishes and frozen juices!

We went to this restaurant two nights in a row with a large group. I give it 5 stars because the food was superb. Family size pizzas were a huge hit with our kids. For the adults we tried steaks, chicken breast and pork chops and every one came out amazing. The presentation is on par with an upscale city restaurant.

One important thing to say to anyone considering this restaurant is you need patience. The couple running this restaurant are working very hard, but if multiple tables are occupied it does take a little time to serve each one in order. I think that is fine for Chivay. Also bring cash, no cards accepted.

Very tasty alpaka, but quite cold inside, even with a sweater and puffy jacket, expensive wine. Incredible potatoes and cooking is top of the top.

El mejor lugar para comer en Chivay, no me tenía fe pero que bueno que me equivoqué. Los precios justos y la Atencion buena . La comida demora entre 15-20 minutos , la especialidad son las pizzas y carnes a la piedra uffff 👌🏻.

Comida muy rica, excepcional ceviche de trucha, tallarines con alpaca tambien muy rico. Mojito de maracuya excelente de lo mjor de todo el Perú. La atención de personal de 10. El unico pero es que el servicio es un poco lento, pero merece la pena la espera

Probamos este lugar en nuestro paso por Chivay y nos encanto.
La atención genial, pedimos alpaca a la piedra y un lomo, todo estuvo muy rico, la calidad de la carne y la cocción excelente.
Si estás de paso por chivay lo recomiendo mucho.
Relación calidad precio muy buena.
