Rustica

This place is an absolute gem and I am so glad I stumbled onto it after deciding not to dine at my initial spot.

The vibe is unmatched here and it was so much fun to see how the locals have a good time. I didn't see a hostess or anything so I just walked toward the back where there was a lot of dancing going on and found a guy in a suit and with my limited Spanish asked him for a table for 1. They were really busy, but he was polite. Once I sat down, it took a minute to get service, but that was okay. I got to people watch and take in the vibe. I wasn't in a rush and you shouldn't be either.

Eventually I made eye contact and got service. From that point forward, it was on point. They just had to take care of a table who bought a bottle, which makes sense. I've worked in restaurants. I get it. There was a younger server who was looking out for me for sure. He was on top of it and here in the states we really look out for people who go above and beyond and he did and I made sure he was taken care of.

I had a great time and ordered the anticucho, which was my first anticucho in Peru and it was unbelievable. The spicy sauce they had was out of this world. I wasn't a big fan of the papas, but tasting the grill on those skewers blew my mind. It was so good that I salivate thinking about it and I will go back just for those skewers. I think this place would be a blast if you're with a decent group.

Great start to a beautiful trip. Ceviche (Cebiche) was amazing. Just enough to still walk around and feel full, without getting stuffed.

I love bringing visit here...the food is always delicious, the service was very good in this one particularly. I also reloj enjoy the look of this Rústica. The food is fresh and they are constantly replenishing what is finishing which I prefer because they are making it as it goes. They have a bit of everything which is pleasant because there will something you truly enjoy or everything.

Buffet with all kinds of local foods. Desserts too. Fun atmosphere with music and decorations. Love this place! (music a little loud)

We had a restrictive diet for Ayahuasca where we couldn't eat food with salt sugar or citrus. They were very accommodating. Even letting us bring food from another restaurant. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. The music was great so we danced for a little.

Great place to eat Peruvian buffet. I was on Saturday for lunch and was a live show of criollo music which is always delightful for me.

Great place to try national Peruvian food with creole fusion! Don't forget to get some picarones for dessert!
