En el Aeropuerto de David existen más 8 opciones de Alquiler de Vehículos, para disfrutar de esa Zona Turística Panameña. También se puede solicitar un permiso para hacer paso fronterizo hasta Costa Rica.

Siempre que quieran rentar un auto así sea en días feriados pueden hacerlo en el aeropuerto.

Precio muy bueno, excelente personal, principalmente la gerente Verónica. Punto malo hay que estar pendiente con las letras pequeñas de los contratos, ya que no cubre lo que el seguro.indica.

Excelente disponibilidad de vehiculos en una fecha concurrida, sin embargo los colaboradores discutian entre si mientras nos atendian y tuvimos que esperar demasiado para poder recibir el vehiculo.

Terrible experience. I was given an estimate under $200 (closer to $100 without the mandatory insurance they don't tell you about online) and they charged me $300. The receipt didn't contain a breakdown of the expenses even when I asked for it and the service was really slow.

They should have zero stars. I rental a car for 3 days and wanted complete insurance include tow truck for accident. I bought the best insurance they sell and sure enough, I had an accident. Avis charged me for a tow truck and a bunch of other things 5 weeks after the accident. The rental contract is horribly one sided toward Avis. Buyer be aware that Avis in David, Panama will charge you what they want without explanation. I will never again use Avis!!!

Never ever rent with Avis in Panama, David or Tocumen!!! They will scam you where they can! If there is a problem they suddenly do not speak English anymore. They have the WORST customer service! I will go to ACODECO.

Four days later.....

And I did! They told me it was all legal. ACODECO read all the legal fine print on the back of the contract.

Yesterday I went to Avis David to sort out the unfinished business of our car rental, because we had an attempted break-in in Panama City. The car was a weekly rate and we bought insurance (LDW) and thought this was being covered.
Turns out, attempted break in is not included, only if they steal the whole car. This they consider kind of vandalism. They do not have extra insurance for it and we did not use our credit card insurance because they put a
$10.000 (!!!) hold on it. Even if you bring a letter of coverage from the credit card insurance.
You can buy extra insurance from your private insurance company.

We returned the car 4 days early, because we did not want any other damage happening to the car.

You cannot return a weekly car rental early. You then pay a "penalty", which comes in the form that they changed the $75 per week base fee into a $190 per week base fee. You do not get a refund for unused insurance either. Basically they fiddled with all the numbers and out came the same amount as for the weekly rate.
Avis returned the $200 hold and did not charge us for the damage. It is probably included in the weekly rate now.

What I have to say for Avis David is this: The customer service depends totally on the individual staff.
I will give 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ to Veronica at the David Aeropuerto office.
She was super friendly. She has very good English. She explained everything to us, and we were able to finish our rental experience on a good note.

However, the 1 ⭐ stays for the gentleman who dealt with us before. Very rude.
But this is the responsibility of Avis to hire adequate staff that has good enough English and customer service skills. Or they have to provide the training. In the international tourist business no English or bad English is a no-no!
