Johnny Fiestas

Beautiful hostel right at the beach. A simple place to stay with nice rooms, people and an amazing beach. It has everything you need as a backpacker! Definitely less tourists than in most places we visited in Panama that holds a lot of potential!

This hostel is just amazing!!! It's right on the beach (literally 30 seconds walking distance), the atmosphere is really chill and friendly and everything is very clean. Furthermore, the staff is very attentive and eager to help you with whatever you need. They also cooperate with a great professional massage therapist that offers Shiatsu right on the beach for very reasonable prices! :)

I'd definitely recommend this hostel; it was honestly one of my highlights of my entire trip :)

P.S.: Make sure to try the fish tacos! ;)

A backpackers paradise! Great atmosphere, beautiful, not busy beach. Soccer is always on at the bar, and Matt is an absolute gem! I highly recommend it!

The best thing about travelling is discovering new places and meeting like-minded people who make you feel instantly at home. I booked one night at Johnny Fiestas on a whim but kept extending my stay until it was irrevocably time to fly back. The hostel is brand new and it has got everything you'll ever need for the perfect beach holiday. It's clean and cosy, the beds are comfy and the atmosphere is very welcoming and laid-back. The beach is literally across the road and it's very peaceful during the week which I appreciated after the crowds. Between endless swims in the ocean, you can relax in a hammock listening to some cool tunes, snack on some seriously delicious food (the fish tacos are out of this world!) and sip some cold beverages at the bar. Matt is a very attentive host and he looked after us very well. It was great just to slow down and soak up the good vibes. Would definitely recommend it and can't wait to be back!

my intention was to stay for a night... I stayed for 3 weeks. the place is super chill, Matt (aka johnny) is a very kind, super chill dude who has created a little hostel/bar where friends meet and new friends are made. highly recommend.

Nice hostel with good prices, great beach access and good ambience. It has very comfortable option for tents, that comes with mattress, fan and electricity. The rooms are also affordable and comfortable. Totally recommended in the region.

this is a fantastic place !!!!! extremely welcoming !!!!! we spent a lot of time there. it was very simple and calm !!! Matt is a very kind and helpful person, as are all his friends who come to him !!!! every day only relaxation !!!!! You can sleep in a hostel or in a tent !!!!! great bar with drinks !!!!!! there is also an equipped kitchen and a washing machine !!!! Thank you Matt !!!!!

Johnny Fiesta's is a fantastic spot! Such a great chill atmosphere and yummy fish tacos! It's also a good place to learn to surf. I loved it here, thanks Matt and Dario!

Spent christmas vacations here. If you are fine with shared accomodations you'll have a good time. Stones throw away from the ocean. Very clean. Johnny was incredibly friendly.

Best place in las Lajas! The owner is such a nice guy and is really helpful with everything. The beach is awesome and a really good surf spot. I was enjoying every second!
