Las Lajas Beach Resort

I have been staying here since it opened 16 years ago. I absolutely love this hotel because it is clean and the food is delicious. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are warm and welcoming. I am constantly impressed that they handled difficult customers with respect. I will never stop coming to the Las Lajas Beach Resort

Stayed here a number of times. The food is excellent, drinks are awesome. Service is impeccable, rooms are very clean, nice air conditioning, Water pressure in the showers are really nice. It has a nice pool and is on the beach. Lots of outdoor space to sit on the grounds and the beach is NEVER crowded.

New Chef's, food excellent. A larger and new menu. I recommend strongly that you go and try it. The staff is always polite and serves you with a smile. Makes you feel like home.

We went here for supper and had a fantastic meal. Service was good as well. It was a nice atmosphere and right on the beach where we were able to watch the sunset. Would recommend.

Situated on the pristine sandy beach of Las Lajas, this resort offers spacious rooms and suites with a full service kitchen and bar that caters to both an international as well as Panamanian clientele. Friendly staff compliment the delicious meals that are enough of a draw to attract tour groups for that alone. Rooms are air conditioned, and our room had multiple fans. The real gem is, of course, is the beach and shoreline that offers beginner size waves for boogie or surf boarders. Air conditioning kept our room to a consistent 20° Celsius during our entire stay.

It was a delightful experience. The resort had a clean room and was adequately decorated for my girlfriend and me. Despite the rainy season, we lucked out with no rain during our stay, although the beach water did appear slightly murky due to the rivers' influence on these rainy months.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the exceptional food. I order some prawns with prosciutto, without expecting much, and it exceeded my expectations. It's safe to say that it was one of the best seafood plates I've had in a while. The mojitos at the resort also deserve a mention, as they were delicious. We also tried the dessert, but that one was a bit of a letdown. It felt more akin to something you might purchase at a convenience store, rather than a fresh and delectable dessert.

The customer service was generally friendly and welcoming. However, it was slightly lacking in attentiveness, as we found ourselves needing to call the staff to our table repeatedly.

Overall, our stay at Las Lajas Beach Resort was a genuinely pleasant one. Despite the minor issue with service attentiveness, the great food, comfortable rooms, and overall ambiance left us with a really good time. I would certainly consider returning in the future.

A very sweet place to stay; the staff are very warm and friendly, the setting is beautiful. The food is fresh and tasty and I’d stay here again for sure.

We just visited the restaurant but we loved the food so much. I could see the garden and the pool, everything looked clean and very beautiful.

Great hotel in Beach side, nice to have a relax weekend with family, romantic or friends, nice Pool, Beach amazing, Bar-Restaurant with good food and drinks. Very spacious rooms for big families. The Staff great service. I Recommend definitely 👌.

This is a Lil’ slice of paradise. Fabulous location on the Pacific coast. The rooms are large, clean, and nicely appointed. The service here is fabulous. The food is quite good. A varied menu with something for everyone. Don’t miss out on this gem!!

Las Lajas has a decent paved road (some years ago it did not) --a direct jump from the PanAmerican Hwy. --- and it is being 'discovered.' This resort is more intimate, only 14 rooms, with a lovely pool, outdoor restaurant and bar, expansive grassy yard with multiple palapas --- all directly on the beach. It feels Caribbean, funky, fun. The rooms are large, basic, with big, flat-panel TV, decent wifi, etc., very clean, good AC, comfy mattresses, big towels and plenty of toiletries. (The only negative? The only big room window is in the front, so ask for a room not on the main walk-way. The best room? Suite #2, as windows are on 2nd floor with no walkway. But, really, you will be outside almost all of the time anyway. And there are hammocks in front of every room!) We found the food tasty and varied, the staff friendly and helpful. Within 20 minutes they knew who we were and what room # to run a tab. You can walk the beach for miles. Hardly any people (of course this was a weekday, in August, so not 'high season'.) We definitely want to return, and stay for several nights to we can truly relax. There are some other resorts and restaurants around but we expect we'd have no reason or desire to go anywhere else. Prices are reasonable, but sign up online for their 'specials' if you intend to be in the area as they are exceptional.

We have visited Las Lajas Beach Resort several times, each was a pleasure. The hotel allows very close access to a fabulously wide and beautiful beach. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We enjoy the meals here very much. Great birding at the beach and nearby. We especially enjoy the very relaxing and healing therapeutic massages by Lize. She is the best! Highly recommended destination.

Holy cow! What an amazing beach resort. Tables with an ocean view. The beach had a total of 10 people - 8 from our group. Clean rooms, friendly helpful staff. I will stay there on my next trip and will recommend the beach resort to friends and family.

Great resort in Las Lajas, excellent food and drinks, great service, beautiful beach. This resort is nice because it is at the beginning of a terrible road. The other resort is a few miles down the worst road we traveled in Panama. We will definately return here!

This is a lovely beach spot. The food is good and the Pina Coladas are delicious. It is tranquil and beautiful. Worth a visit, we'll be back.

We love this place!!! We return 1 a month. Fabulous beach. Weekdays are the best times to go. Wonderful bilingual staff. Water is great for boogie boarding. Nice pool. Awesome massages available.
