Show Pony Beach Resort

We stayed for 5 nights and had a perfect time! The beach is great! Have been here 2010 and it was my most favorite beach. Naturally it has changed a bit, but it is still about the same: widespread, super few people still looks like nature, funny waves …

The show pony resort made our stay very comfortable. Nice staff good facilities and really helpful - for instance: we’ve been traveling without a car which makes shopping rather difficult in Las Lajas. But the owner brought us some fruits and other stuff on his way to the resort.

If i could, i would give more than 5 stars.

If you are looking for an amazing break from your busy schedule this is the perfect place. The staff is amazing and will engage with you as much or as little as you choose. They are always extremely warm and welcoming to everyone checking in. We personally had hiccups with our reservations and checked in late and past dinner. Yet the cook stayed and made sure we did not go hungry that first night. The beach is beautiful and so is the pool. We stayed in a villa with an outdoor shower and even though the resort is smaller it seems much bigger due to the layout. It is pet and family friendly!!! If you are not familiar with the area do be prepared for the drive in. The road in is rough gravel to large stones however it should not keep you from experiencing a wonderful place. We love this place! The atmosphere, the beach, the restaurant and welcoming staff,! A relaxing place to come spend some time!

This resort is a very clean place to stay, they are very meticulous especially since guests bring their dogs here . The staff are super friendly and the owners are amazing. Logan went out of his way to book us a wonderful horseback tour during our visit and drove us to the tour location. We take our big dog ( cane corso) with us everytime we go there and he loves the ocean. The beach area is very clean and sand is fabulous, not rocky. You can find sand dollars during your beach walk most every morning , and this time of the year the water is bath tub warm, even hot in some spots. The food is great, their surf n turf is definitely worth a try, and the shrimp pasta is a 5 out of 5 in my books, and I don't usually even eat seafood. This is absolutely our go to for a beach vacation. Highly recommend!!!

Some of rooms have kitchens were you can bring your own food to cook or go the semi outdoor restaurant. The food and food were great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a pool and a few feet away there is the beach with lounge chairs and barbecue grills. I highly recommend this place if all you want is peace and quiet and fun. They also rent out surf boards and kayaks. Yes, they have wifi. And, car parking. This place is a gold mine. If all you want is peace and quiet and forget about work this is the place to come. It is like in the movies. The owners of the place eats in the semi outdoor restaurant with everyone else. My husband was able to just swim, relax and snooze in the sun.

Love the place. It's a bit out of the way - you have to travel about 3 km or so in unpaved road (really good condition). The resort is cozy and just a 2 minute walk to the beach. The staff is really nice helpful and attentive. Hope to come back!

Disconnect and recharge in this incredible inspiring resort. The rooms and facilities are fantastic (especially the outdoor shower), the food and cocktails are incredible (try the piña colada!) and the beach... just WOW from left to right as far as the eye can see the most amazing beach all to yourself. Make sure to check out the sunrise and sunset while you are there, they feel unreal - perfect postcard photos! Enjoy!

Incredible, dog-friendly suites with full kitchen and comfortable beds...just a few hundred yards from the beach. The bar/restaurant has great food and cheerful service.

Love being able to take our puppy. Great food but wish they had bacon and potatoes that are listed on menu. Wish breakfast was served earlier. We'll be back soon but will bring those items to cook in our room. Love the music but wish it wasn't so loud. We can't talk and hear each other while music is playing. Great house keeping around entire facilities.

The place is very well located, two steps from the beach of Las Lajas and a forest of mangroves, arranged by a small pontoon, allowing the observation of the wildlife. This context is ideal to relax. We were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the staff and the quality of the service. Simon and Daniela will make your stay a pleasant one! The restaurant on site is good and the prices are correct. Clean and well equipped room. A nice discovery!

Excellent place.
Rooms: the beds and furniture are very comfy, they're very good to sleep after a whole day of having fun at the beach.
Service: The staff was so nice, they were very friendly and helpful
The food was very tasty and good, sea food is a must.

Show Pony is a hidden gem of Panama. The setting, the resort, the food, the rooms and the staff were all absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a bit of luxury in a secluded location. Also getting up at 6am to see the sunrise on the beach is a must!

Wonderful discovery in Las Lajas! The hotel is very nice and offers a well-appointed, illuminated and clean beach. There is also a small bridge behind the hotel where we even saw an alligator! Do not hesitate, Simon and Daniela will make sure that you have a great stay ☺ Thank you again!

This place is beautiful and amazing. Loved the rooms, pool, and proximity to the beach. The staff was wonderful and made the stay amazing. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly, and never hesitated to make our stay more memorable. Some suggestions would be to bring plenty of mosquito repellent and a headlamp or flashlight. Overall this place was awesome, definitely going back every time we get a chance.

Very good family environment. Staff was incredibly helping and polite. Kitchen staff was kind and accommodating to my specific food needs. The beach is so close with soft sand, big waves and warm water. Would highly recommend making a visit and i will be here again soon

Nice little resort in a remote area in Las Lajas and next to a beautiful uncrowded beach along the Pacific. Nice rooms and very friendly staff

Worth the journey. Beach & Mangrove, apartments you could spend a month in. Well kitted, the pool area is lovely, the bar the food. They have a lot of land the beach area, mangrove exercise area etc. Very stylish.
