Found exotic fruits that I have never seen before. Prices for such items are very good. If you are an individual buyer, hangar one is a feast for the eyes. A clean, well-managed market with tons of variety. The other hangars sell wholesale.

The very first hangar is where the sellers of individual items reside. This is the place you will buy from if you are simply needing small quantities for yourself. The exotic fruits such as rambutan can be found for just one dollar for a dozen. I doubt you can find a better price anywhere else. However, for common items such as bananas, you can find better prices in la chorrera district. The same goes for some vegetables. My friend who came with me was not impressed at all.

Overall, this market is worth checking out. For sure there will be items you will purchase. For example, there are a couple of sellers with a large selection of legumes. There is also a sugarcane juicer. For just a dollar, you can buy a sixteen ounce bottle of freshly squeezed delicious juice. If you do a market comparison, you will find some items priced lower and others higher. The entire point of this market is to implement a "cold chain" method of delivery countrywide through optimized logistics. The high prices are the result of the current wave of inflated gas prices. So once those prices drop, I'm sure the items will also fall to a favorable price.

The other hangars contain items to be sold in wholesale amounts. This is where the savings really take place if you buy for a restaurant or resale business. There are countless amounts of sellers and the place is clean and well-maintained.

Merca Panama, great place to find all your fruit and veggies, have plenty of parking space and a great variety of products, the building are divided in product coming from Tierras Altas and the ones growing in the rest of the regions in Panama, you also find vendors outside the building with products. What''s really good is that you don't need to buy in bulk or big quantities there are vendors that will sell by the amount you need... 1/2 pound, 1 pound etc... restrooms and small food court is available in the area. Recommendation: If you want to find the best products is better to go early in the morning when the products are fresh.

This place has the best selection of fresh, high quality fruits and vegetables in Panama City. And good prices, too! You can get there by taking the Merca Panama metro bus from Albrook Mall (get a metro bus card first... also available at the Albrook station). The scenic twenty minute ride goes right by the Miraflores and San Miguel locks of the Panama Canal. Warning: this place gets busy! Avoid the crowd and get the best selection by going on weekdays or early in the morning.

An incredible place to visit if you’re looking to settle down for a long term in Panama City. Merca Panama is probably the most wholesome, fresh, organized and chilled place to go for veggies, greens, fruits, and just about anything you can think about that counts as produce. The things sold here are brought directly from the country side using a government system called “Cadena de Frio” which roughly translates as “Cold Chain” to ensure the freshness of all the products. Besides that, the most amazing thing about this is the price. Panama is an interesting place because prices vary greatly depending on where you are. You might get a small avocado for 3.50 at Riba Smith, or a big one in MercaPanama for 1.25! It’s magic and it’s awesome. Only shortcoming: the location, but hey! It’s situated there so that the products come right away using the centennial bridge and don’t get “stressed out” by the chaos of the city. Enjoy! ;)

Clean, wide and open spaces, excellent value for your money. For a fist of dollars you bring far more produce than any supermarket. The distance is really worth for the savings and the quality.

An excellent vegetable market. Very fresh produce, many vendors from which to choose! The prices are 20 to 30% less than the groceries stores if you are shopping for a family.

If you are shopping for a large group or restaurant and by in bulk there is a substantial savings to be had when purchasing full sacks of potatoes, carrots, onions, etc.

Additionally the place is clean and very well organized. There is plenty of parking. There are places to eat as well, though, I have nit tried the food.

If you are looking for fresh produce, this market has a lot of alternative and bring cash, though certain seller have alternative electronic payment options (yappy or neki) it's not the common currency. Just be sure to arrive ther before 10am, otherwise you'll have a difficult time finding a parking space.

During daylight hours on Fridays , Sabbath and Sunday's , the merca Panama market on via centenario Street, is rich with culture and bargains. Visitors who stroll through the crowded alley can spend very little and come home with a full load of fresh fruits and. Vegetables

HUGE improvement over the yucky old market! Nicely organized, out of the sun and there are dedicated cold storage rooms for the vendors.

Ufff this place has many areas where you can find any produce at low prices. It has some areas for fish and seafood, plus booths selling chicken and eggs.

Better without COVID-19 but...go to Warehouse Volcán for retail sales, the remaining warehouse sell bulk and retail.

The best (probably only) real fruit and veg market in Panama City. Don't be scared of this place, it's super friendly.
